Got mine today, amazing paint job, and man the joints are super tight, tighter than any release of this mold so far. Can't decide if I should put the 7/11 logo on or not since I have a KO coming.

I just got mine in today from Anime Export. The box is ok. No concaved rear:

Aside from the usual dings in the corner, the only thing that caught my eye was how it looked like it was pryed at one point.

But the tape looks untampered so I'm not gonna worry. I haven't opened it yet, but I'm not sure if I want to yet.

So my other one from NY arrived. The back of the box is again concave but not as bad as my first one from AE.

The good news is the front is not concave (just has a little dent on one corner) and it is only single taped so I'll keep this one MISB and open the other one. When I open that one I may even be able to get the box flattened out.

Very limited, very niche product with an odd appeal. I worked at a 7-11 for some years and this appeals greatly to me. Here is hoping my third attempt to buy went through.

Gah, couldn't care less about the 7-11 aspect, but really want an official Ultra Magnus/white Optimus cab.

Got mine delivered today from Ebay. It arrived packaged only in one of those reusable shopping bags
Luckily, it's not horrible, a couple of corner dings and a little crease on one side

Wow what the hell?! I'd give negative feedback for that automatically, the seller obviously doesn't care about getting the product to you in one piece at all.

I'd request a partial refund for something like that. The seller had to know better than to ship a high dollar piece in a grocery bag.

This is gonna sound snarky but....

You could always ask that same question when people start asking $500 and up for this one. In fact, last I checked ebay...it's getting there.

Nippon Yasan still has theirs up for 38,000 Yen (about $357.58 USD).

Transformers Masterpiece MP711 Convoy - Limited Edition - import from Japan

I got mine from Anime Export for $313. They have one listed for $32,000 Yen (about $302 ish USD if you go by Google's currency converter).

Not snarky at all. Sound advice actually.

In reality none of these pieces of plastic are intrinsically “worth it”. They are at most a few dollars worth of plastic that transform from a robot to something else. What matters is if you get $360 (or $500) worth of value out of your purchase.

Yeah, but the real question is, "Would you rather spend anywhere from $500 and up possibly? Or $360 or less?" AE seems to be the cheapest option if you include shipping in your grand total. Although a fair word of warning when using AE. They're not real good with customer service, and sometimes they do bungle things up. When they shipped mine, they mistakenly switched out the last two of my zip code so that caused the package to be sent to the wrong post office in town. The post office had to look up my address, forward it back to the city's distribution center, and then it was delivered to the right post office before I got it. If the package is lost in the mail, AE stops responding after a while and you're left with nothing but lost money. It doesn't happen often, but it still remains that AE's customer service sucks a donkey's third leg.

I feel like you also, and you clearly didn't get it in a perfect state, due to the poor packaging

I hear the logic with your explanation. That's probably why I don't have any $300 tf . I don't see the figure worth $300 promoting a brand name like 7-11 and made mostly plastics. The chogokin Voltron and voltez v are $300 (maybe $500) worth of metals and real toy. I'll probably pass and get a v3 UM..

Understandable. But even if you did decide to break down and get it for $300 or so, and you decide not to keep it in...a year or two, you can definitely get your money back and then some when you sell it for a decent aftermarket price at that point. Then you can buy two Voltrons...or Voltez. Or a combo :D
