I wonder if Takara will have any involvement in Animated. Some countries are airing Animated. When will it air in Japan?

Japan doesn't like to air shows until there's a perfect 52 episodes. They're gonna have to wait until season four.

The guy from Hero Ganguu in Osaka looked so dejected when he told me how long he thinks it'll take for Animated to show up in his country. :(

When have you ever seen a non OVA Japanese show with less than 52 episodes? Each season is around 13 episodes long, correct? 13x4=52

    It's called math, bucko.

Ya for example just look at the Brave series, most are around 48 episodes long. so the japs are gonna have to wait for awhile.

Aren't quite a few anime series 26 episodes long as well? I remember watching a few and they were that long....

It doesn't seem that Takara will be releasing animated this year anyway. Perhaps they've delayed it until next year like they did Classics.

Thats kinda along the same point. Takara waited on classics till it was a bigger line before it released it. This is pretty common practice over there. They showed beast wars season 1 and then waited a year to show seasons 2 & 3 together. I wouldn't be surprised if they only wanted one line at a time, stretched classics till TF2 and released animated all in one shot after the movie line

They already have involvement. They engineer the toys so they work right.
Also I think they designed animated Perceptor. I could be wrong about that.

Yes, the pic at Botcon was signed as a Takara design.

Usually, children's TV shows in Japan have runs of 48-52 episodes. This allows for them to run one year, and fit right into the "market the hell out of a show for a year straight then immediately dump it to market a new year-long series" model that a lot of children's shows with associated merchandise tend to fit into over there.

The series that get less than that tend to be (at least to my knowledge) less aimed at children and more aimed at the tween-to-adult nerdy crowd.
