Since it's a LG-EX and not a encore I wonder if its going to be the e-hobby character Primus Vanguard from the lg-ex Magna Convoy comic and not just be called Big blue convoy but ether name works

Pretty sure that's exactly who the toy is meant to be with the LG-EX labeling.

He looks similar yet not identical to the Lucky Draw-version which is great, exactly the right way to handle this sort of thing IMO. People who like the look can finally get their hands on it and collectors can immediately distinguish them on sight. I'm really happy that the people who were so happy when they showed a Lucky Draw version alongside the Encore are able to purchase it - I had given up hope and thought it was just a weird mistake that the Lucky Draw was on display.

Don't know if I'll buy one, but the Encore Big Convoy got me so hyped for the mold that I might take a repaint just because I can. And since its LGEX and not eHobby the price isn't too bad either.

Also, Archie’s mammoth herd will be complete! Yay!

Another Big Convoy to add to the collection is always a good thing!!! I love this mold!

I think I'm going to skip the Anime accurate one and go with this one - just because its a little more distinct and would fit better on my grail shelf - next to Big Black Convoy, the Blendtrons, and Copy/Black Lio Convoy (whenever I get that one).

This will scratch my itch for a blue mammoth without having to spend ridiculous bucks on the TFCC - which is going for outrageous amounts on ebay recently....

According to the description of the product on the article, it is based on the Lucky Draw Version, no reference to the E-Hobby character and it will be released in the Legends packaging rather than an Encore release.

well except the fact that the left arm isnt clear palstic anymore like in all the original releases including lucky draws, it seems like a great deal and way better priced, i have seen lucky draws for 1000 bucks XD

well that his kibble has to transform in a very specific order, or you WILL pop more than one panel from the balljoint, probably even if following the proper order... sometimes
his trunk/gun doesnt need to be removed for transformation BUT you better will or else it will get in the way of everything, eveything else still gets in the way of everythinghe has 4 missiles iirc, and they will probably fire while transforming it, thats it, after that everything else is a good as the figure looks

It's a bit of a shell former so if kibble annoys you... you should probably stay away.

Otherwise though he's loaded with weapons (shin cannons, molded hip cannons, a BFG, flip out tonfas on both arms, and molded shoulder missle launchers when you angle the mammoth heads up). He hails from that great era of Beast Convoy toys - the likes of the original Optimus Primal and Lio Convoy (both of which were also loaded up with accessories/weapons/play features).

Only looseness I have on mine are the flip out tonfas - when not deployed nothing really pegs them in... so the forearm panels tend to flip down. For reference I have the Sonokong release.

If you want to look at this toy in the historic sense.. this is the first mold to feature a removable matrix of leadership. Which is pretty freakin' rad and all chromed out.

If that means a fully enclosed box with brand-new, kickass artwork on it then I support that decision.

I get some gorgeous artwork to look at and I can open him up without any regrets, win-win!
