So, after a good long while of going back and forth on whether or not I want to get my into this line, I think I've decided to give it a try. I fully blame @Maz for this. I know sometimes the little sets aren't exactly great starting points for showcasing what a line is like, so I've decided to get either Big Powered, Battle Cruiser or Dia-Battles. Doesn't matter to me which version or color, but even though the muted ones look good, I kind of like the traditional reds and blues. My question is which of the three would be a good jumping-in point? They all look good. Big Powered is just beastly. The Cruiser tickles my love for weapon platforms. Dia-Battles looks like a really fun bot. Who would the experts recommend? Also, where would the best place be to aquire them for a competitive price? Thanks!
Big powered, then dia-battles (and the space add-on if you can find it for more interchangeable pew pew)
Big Powered all the way (and supplemented by a Dianaut/bike set). The best price I've seen currently is at Amazon JP.
Sounds like Big Powered is the top contender. Kind of figures it would be. That thing looks like a beast. Official only for me. if I want to support the line, then I only want the real deals.
@Yaujta Amazon.jp or HLJ would probably be your best bet. Or secondary market, although ebay prices are a bit bonkers. I've decided to vacate this line before I go completely insane, so if you're interested in picking up some stuff from someone just a state away, shoot me a PM. A lot of what I have hasn't been opened yet (which was my first sign that I had a problem )
Well, I climbed the 100-foot ladder and am taking a swan dive into the Diaclone world. Next week has the potential to be a very, very fun week.
I like the hands and overall aesthetics on that Big Powered than the standard one. Out of curiosity, I checked Amazon.jp. It's listed for $650!!! Yikes! Is that accurate?
The standard one on Amazon.jp is $226. The blue/gray one is listed at $646.54. BBTS has it for $290, so I'm guessing Amazon.jp is only selling it through third party sellers.
I am pretty sure I got the last one from ToyDojo. It seems to be selling well? Anyone have any idea how the line is doing overall?
Yup. It was an exclusive to TTM in Japan. So anyone else selling it now in Japan is a second hand vendor. The domestic retailers have it priced at what TTM did so that’ll be the best you can get it at.
