That's the stock photo of Leader Sentinel.

Yes, but what if the stock photo was actually from the Takara toy?
Obviously Amazon are selling Takara SP. I doubt that they are lying and the toy is the same with Hasbro's. One is $48 the other $127.

I honestly wouldn't buy into it. Those are stock photos, so there is no telling what you are actually paying for. You are better waiting for someone to supply pictures of the boxed toy itself. Otherwise you might just get tricked into overpaying for a toy you can already get for $45.

Also, I kind of pity anyone who's willing to pay over or near to $100 just for a toy with minor additional paint apps to the shield.

Dude, this is the typical "airbrushed prototype" Hasbro stock photo. Takara are using Hasbro stock photos for movie toys all the time.

Nope it's the same as the Hasbro's one, only difference is the Japanese DOTM sticker pasted on the box & the included bio-cards.

Yup, just the old Hasbro prototype Photoshopping thing. But even then the only real paint difference I see between that and the figure I currently have stood on the desk in front of me is the paint on the shield. If that's all you want it for then it would be far less costly to just buy a small tin of paint and do it yourself.

I've not been able to find any where a list of known differences between US & Japan versions of the DOTM figures. Does anyone know just yet?

The only one that's different will be MP DOTM Sentinel. Not this one.

If such a thing even exists, which is still up in the air as far as we know, right?

I'd sure like confirmation one way or the other. I've been holding out buying the US version in case of an MP version appearing ('cause I loooove MP Starscream).
