do anyone know if they going to come out with any more Takara reissue book styles?
I'm not 100% sure but they seemed to have scrapped and instead are going with Encore.
Encore line is Takara's new G1 re-issues.
I LOVED the book reissues and it's really too bad that Takara discontinued it.
I came across a fan-made G1 Sixshot box on eBay in the style of a Book Reissue. It was nice to look at.
I actually photoshopped some fake box fronts way back when they were only on like number 12 or so. What was funny, was that I did an insecticon 3-pack box and they actually made it later. Only I had it as number 18 I think, not #16. I wish I could repost them, but they are all on my old computer and I doubt I could ever find them again. I did a Metroplex too.
The last release for the Transformers Collection line (as it's officially called) came out in March 2006. I wouldn' totally put it past Takara if they suddenly picked up the line again, but I'd still be damn well surprised if they did.
As others said, Takara have since launched a new reissue line named "Encore", and even that already appears to be on a hiatus/cancelled/discontinued/whatever now.
I fully expect them to launch yet another reissue line next year.
One big reason I loved the book reissues was because of, well, the book! Sure it was all in Japanese which I can't read but it was cool looking at the toy listings, cool poster art and episode guide too
Books are done since Encore is here. I am still trying to get the Insecticons & Blitzwing.
Encores are way better than books
general fandom voice says the oposite.
The TFC has so muhc more to offer then the Encores. I dont really feel the "feel" for Encore as I do for the TFC.
I should get a few of them but they are so massproduced there is no rush.
I particularly loved the Insecticon 3-pack. If you do get it you're in for a real treat! They are even packaged with these tiny Energon cubes, but I'm sure most people already knew that. I also like the green of the boxart. One of the better TFC reissues out there
I kinda agree. TFC has lots of "special features" included which are very satisfying.
Encore is great too for the high nostalgia factor. Can't go wrong with wonderful G1 packaging.
Exactly my point
