I wish Takara would do Zoids Transformers.
I'm going to throw out there that Disney didn't want to. They'd have to split the profits even further than they are already.
Grab these while you can before Disney starts banning these outside Japan like they did with the awesome Bandai Star Wars model kits. The Mouse wields a red lightsaber.
Seriously? I thought it was just that those model kits were Japan only, didn't realize it was because the mouse said no.
I'm importing from Japan on this anyway, doubt that Hasbro would be interested in going down this road again.
So if they did make a new Darth Star transformer as well as a Starkiller Base, who would they transform into?
Hux! and snope?
Hope they follow up with a complete line. These will be a nice bridge between my SW and TF detolfs. Vader looks pretty great too, especially the TIE mode!
Broke my rule and preordered 2 to display in both modes.
Hope they make an Executor that transforms into MegaMaid.
It was a whole thing.
The kits only have the license to be sold in Japan. They aren't "banned" but you can only import them from second-hand shops. HLJ was selling them but, again, didn't have the right to do so and had to take them down.
Thanks, that explains why I can't find the darned things any more on HLJ.
There\'s something I was wanting from the original line, that I hope they do for this one, but they most likely won\'t. But I would like Star Wars Beast Tranformers.
It is pretty irritating. Buying direct from HLJ was a lot cheaper for me, especially with their Private Warehouse. I'd just add the Star Wars kits to the rest of the stuff.
I'm a Star Wars and Bandai model kit fan, and I'd never personally come across a situation where you weren't allowed to import from certain places before, so that was a nasty surprise for me (exaggerating? No. I wanted Bandai to do Star Wars kits for years, The best of both worlds for me. But I don't like paying above a certain amount for relatively simple model kits.)
I'm just hoping Disney don't turn around do the same for the better designed Star Wars Transformers that Takara are releasing.
Could be cool a Death Star in Titan Class
You know, I don't think I want them to make the robot mode main body completely black, but rather go for a mix of TIE Advanced grey and black paint apps.
They have to, otherwise the illusion will be broken in vehicle mode.
The robot mode shoulders, forarms, and legs will probably be grey, plus the obvious parts like the TIE cockpit and the wings.
I'm more afraid that Vader won't have enough black in robot mode
That's why having the TIE Advanced transform into Megatron would've made so much more sense what with all the gratuitous gray. Or having TIE Interceptors transform into Starscream and the Seeker mold or something similar. TIE Bomber can be Soundwave, etc. Granted, it'd be much harder to shoehorn Optimus Prime as an X-Wing.
So seeing as they teased the Millennium Falcon will be coming as well, what do you guys hope to see with the new Millennium Falcon transformer/transformers?
I hope the same thing they did with this one. The Chewie/Solo idea was pretty cool, it just wasn't executed very well.
I find that thought absurd and unconvincing.
Sure, it was probably conflicting with the Bandai models, but if A) Hasbro has the toy license for Star Wars in the US and B) Transformers is a brand that Hasbro and Takara share, why wouldn't Hasbro try to market these in the US now that Star Wars is a HUGE thing now than it was when the original SWTF toys came out (when was it, early 2000's or something)?
EDIT: Wow, looking at Darth Vader's page in TFWiki, it turns out there managed to be Star Wars TF toys in 2010-2011. Then again, 7 years is a lot of time, so...
Well I ain't trying to convince you of anything but just going to say that from memory the line didn't do so well so yeah, doubt they'd want to go down that road again. If you consider that absurd, nothing I can do there.
