Well hmm, outside kibble looks like die-cast, but could just be really nice painted plastic :lol  Can't really tell. He's light though, like MP10, so I'm guessing that might not be die-cast, at least not the same as the die cast of G1.

Pretty sure there is close to zero die cast in this thing. Feet are supposedly plastic.

Give him the kiss test. If it's cold against your lips, it's metal. If it's warm, it's plastic. :)
Great review by the way. Very, very excited to get mine.

If you have classics sideswipe can you get a shot of the two of them together. I just want to get a feel for the size of this guy.

He said in the opening post that he doesn't have them right now, but this was posted in the News & Rumors forum (courtesy of joshua):

How is his ground clearance in car mode? Does he scrape or roll freely? It a lot of the pictures, it looks like he's bottomed out.

    Thanks! Great looking figure!

What are the tires made from? Are they rubber or plastic? They almost look like black plastic.

    Avolow.

It's been stated in various threads that they're plastic. I believe they were initially intended to be rubber, though.

They're plastic. Some might not like it, but in the long run, I'd say it's better that way. Seen way too many pics of the 2001 Robots in Disguise line's rubber tires splitting.

Shame but not a deal breaker when he looks so gorgeous in both modes. Really nice review and pics. Awesome work! Does it feel solid? i.e. nothing feels cheap plastic, likely to break / stress easily?

Yeah, but the Alt/Binaltech figs have rubber tires and they haven't split. This guy looks great, but he looks like an Alternator for almost twice as much money. I would have loved to see die cast and rubber tires for this price, or the figure as-is but cheaper.

I'm kind of glad they're not rubber.
