If you're gonna ride Dann-o, ride in style!
Was it modded to let the Titanmaster stay on?
Doesn't look like it. Just plugged in without folding the Headmaster's legs. Removal is needed for transformation.
And one year later I fall in love again with a Gnaw <3
Hmm that new top must lack the top part that the Hasbro one has. The Hasbro one can only keep the TM attached like that in car mode if the top part of the chest is cut away.
Best part about having a third Kup style dude is... My Ironfries squad can now goes on patrol.
I prefer Leader sized and looking like the character over shorter and being an ugly abomination.
That being said, I have to say I do prefer the Protector Winnebago mode over the new Leader's.
Guys, have there been reports of any breakages? I'm wary of transparent plastic.
I'm not sure if I have it worse or not. Now that I know there is this error, I just checked my TT Kup, one leg has the misaligned panel, the other is correct ... so I can't even do the swap ... I think i'd prefer 2 incorrect panels rather than 1 correct, 1 incorrect >_>
I tried getting one panel off, but it doesn't move and I don't want to break anything.
I heard a reviewer mention from one of his fans and he told everyone else to be careful, but thats it for now.
My Hot Rod is sturdy. Doesn't feel like it'll break. Also pics with Rodimus head if anyone was curious.
is anyone able to switch the chests?
just did it. much easier than i thought it would be and no risk of breakage.
looks a lot better.
Thanks guys! I'll pick up the figure later this week!
You managed to switch the chest with the Hasbro version? Anything I should look out for if I go that route? Thanks in advance!
But the reds don't match?
Okay, so yesterday LG Hot Rod and Kup arrived. My first dip into the world of Takara's Transformers Legends line(LG Blackarachnia, aside)
Headmasters with painted faces are a nice bonus, it makes me appreciate the miniature playset aspect of Titans Return more. However, I feel Takara's use of extra translucent plastic on stress-bearing parts is highly questionable, I don't have the nerve to flip Roddy's engine block over. Kup's pretty fantastic all around, save for loose fist holes and his right forearm being slightly warped. Recoil is an awesome little figure, if slightly prone to coming undone Transfomation-wise as I slot 'im in Kup's mitts. I'm quite fond of the old codger having some variety of a lengthy, double rifle. Hot Rod's... A bit of a QC mess all around. Floppy joints and smudgy/absent paint are a downer, although his pseudo-magenta plastic is beautiful.
Now... About his Targetmaster, Firebolt...
Is anyone else's unable to sit flush in Targetmaster mode? Like, when I click the barrel in, the entire thing droops. Upon closer inspection, it seems that the barrel and its connected piece with the arms on his back is being pulled up and out of the chest's back at an angle.
After disassembling it into three pieces, still, nothing wants to cleanly fit together. Firebolt's chest plate won't fit into his Back/Arms/Gun barrel piece without causing stress marks on the former component and still being slightly raised near the bottom, and the head/spine/legs part pushes itself out of the Back/Arms/Gun barrel spot as I rotate it, as if it's too large for its intended placement.
Is this normal, or do I have a defective Firebolt on my hands? D:
Nah, mine does the same thing. Recoil too. The leg pegs just don't want to peg securely into the body... I thought about using future, but we'll see..
Oh, no, I meant that the parts that make up the Targetmaster's torso are prying themselves apart as if something was molded incorrectly.
Mine had to have his chest forced into his back in order to tranform right. After that he was perfect.
I don't appear to be able to do that myself. It's less noticeable in robot mode, but even just rotating the hips a bit will cause his back to lift up, but less so than attempting a full transformation.
First picture is robot mode. The green line aligns with Firebolt's hips(Or where they would be. Haven't fully put him back together yet.)
Second picture shows his back lifting up and out by clicking the gun barrels in for Targetmaster mode. Trying to press on the chest, unfortunately does nothing for me - it just pops out of place again once I let go.
