I've only used TFS-Express once and unfortunately there was a fault on my KFC Crash-Hog. They honoured the refund but I found the return process rather awkward and drawn out whereas I have found communication with Kapow excellent. No offence but it felt like TFS-Express staff did not speak English well.

Well, it's my first time so I'll see how it goes. Its either TFS-Express or paying a lot more in customs from BBTS.

Or, they just have substantially different target audiences and price points to meet than Takara?

Don't get me wrong, a lot of the cheapness is frustrating, especially some of the cheapness that results in hollow limbs. But Takara doesn't fix that either.

Depends what you like - usually Takara is better but not always: United Jazz > RTS Jazz, eHobby Kup > Generations Kup, Generations 'LSOTW' Springer > Legends Springer, Walgreens 'IDW' Brainstorm > Legends 'G1' Brainstorm and so on...

I don't collect Decepticons really but I could miss the pre-order on that sweet IDW-style Legends Misfire.

Canceled my LG Kup/Char preorder at HLJ in case anyone was waiting for one to open up there, just a heads up. Not sure it will help anyone, but just putting it out there. :)

Never had a problem with TFS-Express other than the support guys not being the brightest bunch.

I dunno. With the whole Targetmaster thing with Hot Rod and Kup, it's possible that these toys represent these characters from The Rebirth, not the non-Rebirth Japanese G1 continuity. So Legends Hot Rod might in fact be a different character than POTP Hot Rod/Rodimus (if Takara does their own version of POTP.)

Awaiting Kup and Gnaw. I mainly bought Kup for the Targetmaster (the official United Recoil is practically impossible and costs more than the LG Kup+Recoil). Debating whether the Classics or this one will go on my shelf.

To each their own, but I'm far more interested in this then the POTP version. I'm still unsold that the Hot Rod figure in that set will be actually a good figure with everything it has to do to become the torso to Rodimus; plus if we get the black and purple as a redeco and it does turn out to be good, I can (likely easily) get that version instead.

Maybe it's because the QC on my TR Hot Rod is good, or outside of the Animated figure I haven't liked any of the Hot Rod/Rodimus figures, but I really like the TR version and this isn't just a "Takara deco upgrade"; the remolded chest, the Targetmaster, etc. makes this feel like a different figure.

What does seem like a letdown is the Sharkticon. I was expecting the much stronger darker deco that we had before. I'm still going to get it as I want the Sweep 7 head as well (perhaps moreso), but still, I liked the idea of the dark deco Sharkticon to lead my little squad.

You guys know what'd be really great? If Takara re-released that Voyager Lugnut from the Reveal the Shield line as a part of their Legends line...

Lugnut was released under "United" lineage.

They did, but that was under their earlier United line of toys.

If I'm not mistaken, Legends is something of a United 2.0 line for Takara.

    EDIT: What Automorpher said...

Yeah, I went for that one as a sort of alternative to the even more undersized Animated version (I bought pretty much everything from Animated, except Lugnut and Blackout, who just didn't look right next to their co-stars).
