The verdict is innocent.
Feed him to the Sharkticons.
Using LG's head in the TR body
You can't be eaten twice. Decide now. We have other sentences to make. We're a bit on a schedule here.
yeah you can. you just need to survive the first round, or depending on how much is eaten.....
Does this scenario require digestion in between takes?
depends on how big the eater is...but since you said "sharkticons" you'll have to feed them bits.
what was this thread for again?
This REALLY works for me as a CHUG G1 inspired Kup. (Not an MP Kup, or a slavishly toon accurate Kup, but a G1 toon inspired re-imagining of Kup. It looks great in that role imo.)
What is IDW about Perceptor's face-sculpt? Good lord, you're tough to please.
Eyes and mouthplate vs. visor and mouth.
He also comes with a sniper rifle instead of a regular gun for some reason, I'm guessing because of the comics. Heck, the figure can't even really hold it like a sniper rifle due to the head and articulation.
Are we thinking of the same toy?
TR Perceptor doesn't have a mouthplate, and G1 Perceptor didn't have a visor. The sniper rifle's the only thing IDW about the toy.
I could not agree more.
2 Sharkticons 1 Kup
Much better, a nice slightly dull teal that in washed out lighting can be construed as gray.
That's not what she said...
I meant G1 Perceptor had the mouthplate and eyes, while TR had the mouth. I did make a mistake saying he had a visor, so oops.
Still, the body is pretty darn G1, but the head doesn't look like his predicessor. At least not to me. As someone that dislikes IDW, it was kind of a turn off, but the overall figure is good enough that I'm cool with it. I just don't give him the rifle.
When I took shots of them together it was a lot more obvious.
An IDW Perceptor would have asymmetrical eyes, with one being his targeting scope. Neither IDW nor the cartoon had a mouthplate... the figure has yellow eyes, but that's a toy-accuracy thing. No version of G1 Perceptor has a visor.
So yeah. The face isn't G1 cartoon accurate due to the eye color... but that's in no way IDW-inspired. That's G1 Cartoon-inspired.
Don't inexplicably blame IDW for that. I like toy-accuracy as much as the next guy (I much prefer Hasbro's MP Soundwave over my Takara one), but having no mouthplate just plain wasn't in the cards, IDW or not.
I'm not inexplicably blaming anything. I don't know what the character looks like in IDW, so I was just figuring the lack of mouthplate was due to modern comic influences. The shape of the head is seemingly closer to the previous IDW head designs, which also lead to my assumption.
Also, I said I made a mistake about the visor, so yeah, I made a mistake.
The cartoon character, while having a mouth, never really had the tank mode. The new figure does, which is toy accurate, which is why I had hoped he'd have a mouthplate.
Incidentally, I'm not bothered by any of this and not feeling argumentative. If this were face-to-face it would be casual, so please don't take exception to anything. Just being conversational.
Not CW Magnus? Heyooooooooo
Goodness... I never noticed the newly resculpted arms. HUGE improvement over the Hasbro version... Between the new colors, and this... I'm interested! Still like my Generations Kup with the iGear IDW-styled head but... yea... now I'm interested in the TR figure.
