Correct me if I am wrong but didn't the Star Convoy not do as well as hoped?

I think that Takara will go with something from seasons 1-3. Most likely a mold that already exists and has been used somewhere else. It is cheap, and especially the season 1 characters sell well so it would stand to reason that a recently merged company would go that route.

 

i still think it will be optimus prime, but with a new hat.

 

He could come with a sombrero just like Chewie!

 

How about Fort Max? I would love to see him in the book style packaging.

 

Perhaps Thundercracker or Skywarp in anime colors?
Silverstreak?
Red Alert?

 

I'm hoping for a massive cassette collection with the Jap exclusives... THAT i'd actually get...

 

What if Joel's japanese contacts gave him wrong information? Man, wouldn't that be a major dissapointment.  

If Star Convoy didn't have strong sales, I can easily see Tomy/Takara not reissueing anything big for a while. That rules Victory Saber, Dai Atlas, any gestalt giftset, Grandus, Trypticon, Sky Lynx and Overlord out.

I'm hoping for any Dinobot. Just saw yesterday that my Grimlock is in pretty sad shape.

But I'll also take Scourge or any other TFTM or post TFTM character.

However, I think the most likely options are characters from season 3. So my guesses are:

- Scourge (Alpha Trion as the e-Hobby version)
- Springer
- Cyclonus
- Blurr
- Wreck Gar

Something from the left field, but not so much considering his importance in Headmaster could be Chromedome.

I know this is weird, but I had a dream the night before this was announced that I found some new Reissues at a TRU. The reissues were TM Cyclonus, TM Scourge, TM Triggerhappy, and a Menasor giftset and they were all priced at $54ish range, except Menasor, he was $100. I know it may seem odd, but these are my guess, and it would be soooooo scary if I was right about at least 1 of these.

I would love to see some headmasters... and it seems likely he would be the one chosen for a reissue, as he was a main character.

The e-hobby version could be a pink & white re-paint as Arcee (the same character that the "Chromedome-mold" was originally intended for). Stylor could become Daniel.

TM Scourge would also be cool with a Alpha Trion e-hobby repaint.

I doubt the Dinobots & Season I&II cars will be re-issued since I think they would have already exploited their potentially huge sales. It may be cheaper and more profitable for them to re-issue all plastic transformers as opposed to those with Die-cast parts (which would explain most of their recent re-issues - Star Convoy, Blaster, Perceptor, Wheelie, Kup, & Laser Convoy).

 

At the prices they ask now who could afford it  

 

well, I'll keep my eyes open for this one. I just hope its a G-1 that was released in the US.

 

The new Orion Pax has die cast chest, i don't know abot Kup i have both originals. An Magnificus has a metal chest piece.
Star convoy Is a gigantic brick who launches micromasters so In my opinion AOK, and i think Metal bits would probably be cheaper than moter bits, but I just collect me not build. I just want more japanese exclusive figs or the Damn nere impossible to find late pretenders ALL HAIL Bludgeon ( I loved the comics as a kid, Wait i still am a kid, just in a bigger body)

 

Dinobots and Devastator are what I really want to see from Takara right now.
Minty fresh re-ish dinos now would be perfectlt timed to go with their new smaller cousins.

 

Yeah, I'll go along with that. I'd love to see the Dinobots in all new packaging. As was said before though, unless it's an end of the year thing, we probably won't see that unless it's a new years exclusive. Now the Dinos released in TFC one at a time? Very possible.

Myself, I just want them to do more reissues and to keep doing them, because... sooner or later... they'll get around to the ones I want.

Perceptor and Kup reissues both have diecast.

 

Ooops, my mistake; you guys are right. But I still think the theory may hold some weight in their decision.... what's that? Steeljaw has diecast parts too? F&*#$!!!
