I love how misleading this particular picture is:

Ahh.. If only Bulkhead really were that big compared to OP.. And BB was that small...

I like the shiny paint... it looks like car paint. Prolly would have been better suited for non-animated figures though.

looking at what english text their is these were early ideas for transformers heroes (later renamed animated)... sadly they just look like resin proto types so I dont think we will ever see these guys in production... (same cuz that guy on the right looks f**king awesome)

Too bad Bumblebee isn't the Hydrodive figure (with or without the boat thingy).

They are the very first concept protos Mr.Hasui designed. He also mentions the Hot Rod figure/character on the left was eventually turned into Bumblebee. TakraTomy side apparently wanted Hot Rod as a main character (besides Prime I assume) first.

I'm still happy with my Hasbro figures for Animated. Ours match the cartoon and "animated" feel better. Plus, I don't feel like rebuying the who line.

Anyone else notice the use of the term "Autobot" instead of "Cybertron"?

After the movie Takara started using the Hasbro terms a lot, such as Autobot and Prime.

Not bad looking, but this is takara, and for them this is not like them :p  they've thrown show accuracy out the door LOL.

Course saying that, i'd probably pick the Prime up if i had the funds, think the metallics work best on him.

So Bulkhead is Ironhide? He's blue for pete's sake. And as someone pointed out, there's already an Ironhide.

Yeah, I like them except Bulkhead. Too bright a green. Besides which, Bulkhead is an armored car, he's supposed to have flat colors. The metal on actual cars, like Prime, Ratchet, and Bee makes sense, but not on Bulkhead.

Ugh, half-and-half BB looks like crap. All or nothing with the metallic paint, please.

I don't like the metallacized paint. Animated looked good in flat paint colors, and partially painting them shiny makes them look bad.

I'll go with not liking the metallic paint. Animated wasn't that shiny and the flat colors bring out the more "show accurate" view. The normal colors and shiny gold on BB looks bad in the picture to be honest, and I have no idea what they did to Bulk/hide there. I looks good on Prime and Shockwave though.

If pray there are new Animated molds though, either through this, universe or the next classics line for left out characters.

That doesn't sound good. I liked it that way. On one hand, the japanese terms were used in the Alternity series.

your words not might... not that I really disagree I mean the engineering in Animated is top notched but I still think style wise its a huge step in the wrong direction

Wether or not you like the style of animated you'd have to be silly not to see how ridiculosly well these engineered things are . I dont like movie toys but I can respect the levels in engineering that has gone into them.
