I saw some stills for this somewhere the other week, I would watch the poop out of this if it happened.

Anyone else seen the live action Tetsujin 28 movie?
I don't recommend it to those who haven't, this looks much, much better.

Impressive, just as long as they don't use the american theme music.

You can find the trailer at Imagi's site

    T28 official web site

Probably better quality than the YouTube version :)

So, am I the only one who thinks that those designs look pantently silly, in that kind of realistic rendering?

(says the guy who wants a live action or near realistic CG Mazinger series)

No, they do look silly, but that's part of the charm. (watches for G1er rant)

Everything is spot on excellent except for the Kid. He needs to appear like the original because right now with the way everything else is made to look, he's waaaaay out of place.
And I'm still a bit concerned about the title. "T-28" is obviously Tetsujin-28, and I like that it's this way, but from people I know, even older kids and adults who grew up in the 60's, they knew it as "Gigantor" and usually say "huh? what do you mean?" when you tell them "Tetsujin-28." Though it is nice to see that they're sticking to the original Japanese name than an American one.

This looks fantastic so far! I'm a big fan of Tetsujin, especially the original designs so it's nice to see the new ones are heavily influenced by the classics. The old spindly-limbed Monsters are one of my favorite robot designs and seeing that army of them marching through the city gave me chills.

    My only question is: TOYS?

I have no idea what this is, but it swung the meter from cool to ridiculous, all the way back into awesome territory.

Oh God I hope so! I REALLY REALLY do!

It'd be like the Iron Giant all over again, except this time I'd buy the crap out of it instead of buying absolutely noting *BIG MISTAKE!*
