I was rewatching Stronger, Faster, and I saw at the end, Knock Out found a remaining drop...

So, what happened to it? It's obviously a foreshadowing otherwise they wouldn't waste time animating it.
    Speculation begin...

Maybe it was just bullshit to make us anticipate what will happen next involving it and will never be followed up on, like Breakdown's set up arc.

    Yeah, I'm sticking with that.

What seekerblackout said, that ship has sailed already...into..nothing.

What a shame, although I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

TV shows do fake foreshadowing all the time. I hope this isn't that though; I have some crackpot theories surrounding synthen I want tested.

Wasn't it stated during last year's Comic Con roundtable that everything introduced will be used--there will be a payoff. It may not happen this season, but nothing has been (or will be) forgotten.

Besides, Knock Out only has a droplet. Can much be done with that?

There wasn't much (or any) payoff for Operation: Breakdown.

Breakdown never returned his debt to Starscream, and I guess he was a potential turncoat (don't say it never crossed your mind!) but that was never explored either.

Maybe I'm just still butthurt cause I liked Breakdown. A lot. Or maybe because the writers showed potential for his character and instead of delivering, they pretty much regulated him to a background character with a few/no lines for all of Season 2 up until his death.

MECH did the impossible with only two to four brief encounters with the TFers.

    Synthen

I think it'll make a return. You guys think its just a false forshadow but if K.O. is the only one researching Synthen it'll take a really long time to analyze it and recreate it as well as find proper experiments for it. K. O. is the only Medic and Megatron also has him doing other work too.

But is he really dead? Yeah, I know, just about everyone here says he is, but he isn't dead until he's actually dead, right? His body was resembled and we don't know how things are going to turn out.
Very true, but have we seen Knock Out actually build anything? He couldn't even fix Megatron.

I don't know, but with KO in the doghouse as far as Megatron's concerned, it wouldn't surprise me if he decided he needed to actually do something with it. Either he pulls a Starscream and uses it for himself, or he presents it to Megatron to regain his favor.

Even if he were to somehow come back online, killing him in the first place was a waste of time anyway! We didn't even get to know why he hates Bulkhead!

Seeing how Knockout's seemingly showing signs of resentmint towards Megatron and the fellow Decpeticons not to mention having bad luck lately, him using the Synthen on himslef to make himself stronger and ruthless is getting more likley.

at the end of triage with that little growl I have a feeling KO does something with it either to get back at Megatron or get back in his good graces

It would be funny of Knockout ended up developing a second personality with the SynthEn all Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I mean not literally physically turn into a monster but just get feral.

Stop. If you honestly think Breakdown's death only served the intensely short-sighted purpose of heightening the scare factor of a character who essentially died two episodes later, you need to think some more. Stop treating the writers like idiots.

They were being idiots when they killed him off when he had his own fucking arc set up.

You think they didn't realize he had an arc set up? They wrote it. Seriously, if you can't see beyond him dying anticlimactically (as people do most often in real life, incidentally) then I suppose there's not really any reason to watch for him anymore. But ignoring the stark fucking face-slap of SilasDown is an ignorance inadmissible. That might, iunno, continue his arc? Maybe let's treat the writers like they have a plan.

Silasdown is unneeded. Make it Nemesis Prime Silas. Killing Breakdown and bringing him back as Silasdown and then somehow continuing his arc is overcomplicating things.

Somehow I think "complicated" is a requisite for "interesting."
