Fiddly and squeaky yes , their instruction sheet is a mess lol . I think the best way for transformation is still through video reviewers . Fiddly can’t reallt be solved but I had some spare grease from kfc-17 set , and rodimus no Longer a soundboard of nails scratching on blackboard .

 

I wonder what kind of grease/oil I can get locally that would not harm the plastic.

 

I didn't find the transformation all that bad, but by Primus those wheels were terrifying. I was certain that either the plastic or my skin was going to break before I got them to move the very specific and awkward way the figure requires. Getting the knees aligned for alt mode was also a pain. I'm hoping that the Lost Light version has some adjustments to tolerances and maybe a soft click in the knees for transformation.

True, though I think the alt mode does actually look better in the LL deco than the original red and orange. I definitely prefer the opaque blue windscreen to MMC's clear orange.
Still not up to Callidus alt mode standards. SXS Bot mode blows it away though.

I really want to see someone mod this guy with some fatter front tyres. I think that would go a long way to improving the alt mode. There's at least a couple of millimeters of extra space in there to give him some off-road treads!!

 

Agreed, definitely feel like SXS wanted the wheels to make a sports car like look

 

The muted colors on the Calidus figure are far better. But Hot Flake will suffice, since the Calidus is not easily obtained, is more expensive than I’m willing to spend, and has (IMO) the weaker robot mode.

But they both look off to me - as in not properly transformed. MMC’s is most definitely not properly transformed/pegged in.

Several members ordered him thru me but I didn't keep one for my collection. Those Nemesis pics looks pretty awesome. Is he MP scaled, like which Optimus would he go best or scale best with? Mp10, G-Creation maxmas, generation toy idw Optimus?

Looks very nice, especially with his hip joints being the same color as the legs. Never liked how the original’s hips were grey.

Ughh! Looking at these images, it's hard to choose which IDW prime I like better. First impression is the one on the left in the images above, but then the lighter blue version looks pretty good too! argghh!! I love the Movie, comic, and G1 prime with Hot Rods.. great images!

 

aesthetically I prefer this , slimmer and more accurate to dark cybertron / mtmte run . Chunky Gt probably would go better with chunky mmc.

 

Yea, he's pretty hot. GT matches the proportions of MP tho.

 

I feel like this would've made a better Override than Calidus, but that's just me.

He looks damn nice in that LL deco.

 

She really needs her own mold.

Maaaaybeee SXS could retool it enough to resemble the IDW version though.
