It scares me a little that Ben couldn't get the face swap gimmick to work. Oh well, my Hot Flame WILL have the smiling face even if I have to glue it in place.

I didn't think I liked the way this looked, but these final product shots and Ben's review make it look a lot better to me. I'm tempted.

He seems to be struggling with a broad spectrum of things in that review; I’m personally not too worried.

I'm down with both a Nautica and a Banzitron remold of this guy. From that artwork they seem like natural fits and not forced like some MMC figures.

In some pics it looks like this guy is shorter than Calidus, and in others it's the same height. XD Trying to do height comparisons using entirely different a-stances drives my brain crazy.

I can totally see a Nautica from Hot Flame. The transformation works out perfectly: chest is under cockpit, feet form nosecone, wings attach where vtols could attach, arm pipes could be replaced with arm intakes. I’d prefer her to be deluxe height but I’ll friggin take it!

You know, considering how Banzaitron looks, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a slight retool of Hot Flame and THAT is something I would totally buy since Voyager size is perfect for him and I'm tired of Banzaitrons that are just Bludgeon's redecos. I need a Banzaitron that looks like a ninja dammit! Not a samurai.

Still hoping that Nautica is a new, Deluxe size mould though.

Oh, they wanna remold this into Nautica?
I am down with that. Looks like it could work well.
This is a good-looking toy to be sure, but... I already got me a Hot Rod.

If they show any evidence they're reprinting this in the Lost Light colors, it's an instant buy.

I don’t think anyone other than HasTak will ever be releasing a Nautica anymore that is deluxe sized. Maybe if MMC decided to do her years ago back when they did Azalea, they would have done it.

That was MMC’s first real to at IDW designs though. Years past, things change.

Also what is up with you guys wanting female bots to be shorter in any regard, compared to their male counterparts? I assure you there are tons of tall women in real life. Or at least equal heights to your own.

In other news, Nautica is almost the same size as Brainstorm. About the same height as Rodimus, Getaway and Skids. So no, not small at all.

Mine just arrived and he did not disappoint. The figure is even better in person. Handling the figure felt very familiar and it took me a minute to realize why; it feels just like the plastic snap models that I had as a kid. That said, it doesn't feel like it's about to crumble apart like my KFC Perceptor and the figure still has a nice weight to it.

I could certainly be talked into getting a Nautica, even though I know nothing about her.

Ugh, the words "model kit plastic" always send an involuntary shiver down my spine. Never really great for action figures (see: Ultra Maxmas). I'm still in for this guy, just a little more apprehensive now.

In regards to Nautica's size, I think she needs to be a voyager, simply to be in scale with Roddy. If Hot Flame was smaller, then I'd like her to be smaller too, but unfortunately that isn't the case. I'd like things to be consistent with the line.
