Colour me surprised, I thought those two weren't coming out! Also, note the new packaging.

As I said in the Washington State sightings post... this one was unusual as Fred Meyer's computer didn't have it in their system and I couldn't find the Darth Vader one around on the shelves. I haven't opened it yet but will do so real soon.

Hmm. While I don't collect the SWTFs, the packaging change is interesting. It's been tweaked to fit in with the mainline's 2007/30th anniv. packaging...which might mean some items from that line aren't far off; most likely the $20 vehicle asst.

I was wondering what the "30, 77-07" numbering on the package was about. Thanks for clarifying it. I took a snapshot of it as well.

I was just wondering when we would see new figures coming out. Now if only they could do a Yoda figure somehow...

In the Star Wars Catalog that is inside, most of the pages are of stuff that is already out, but the "3 3/4" (action figures) Vehicles" page has a picture of Darth Vader's Sith Starfighter as well as a Hailfire Droid and a Trad Federation Armored Assault Tank. I'll get a scan of this page as soon as I'm done taking pictures.

The spring action lightsabers sport the new packaging and they've been out for a couple weeks now.

My Guess on that is "1977 - 2007" Celebrating 30th Anniversary of Star Wars.

(I am sorry if someone already did answer)

So, are there any more SWTFs or do two remolds put the nail in the coffin, so to speak?

As far as I know, Vader and the Clone Trooper remold are the last two confirmed releases thus far.

Personally, I think the fighter mode of this repaint looks slick! The robot mode is the mode that needs help though... no repaint can help the issues going on with that particular mode. He needs his weapons in hand just to keep him balanced.

Really? I always thought the clone pilot mold to be one of the better ones. Vader on the other hand is a pass since I kinda think that mold blows ass. Not to mention that fact its already been remolded once...

What really throws this figure off for me is the white plastic they used for his head. It is WAY to white in contrast with the rest of his off-white body. It totally sticks out like a sore thumb on the figure and breaks the sense of a uniform color scheme. This figure should have been 100% off-white(except for the pilot) to be consistent and also could have had more parts in off-white color to resemble his pilot since all the other star wars transformer robots try at least resemble their pilots. Still, it is a good effort on Hasbro's part though and it's nice to see them experiment with color schemes like this in the line. The only figure I MAY consider buying from this entire line is the soon-to-be-released Darth Vader Starfighter; and that's still just a maybe.

You're talking about the yet-to-be-released Jedi Starfighter Vader, right? Not the TIE Advanced Vader in the beginning?
