That may be possible, but given the length of the sword I can only choose frosted detail, not frosted ultra detail. (am am like 2mm to big, so i guess I could shrink it down). That and that material would make the sword much more expensive (almost double the cost), I want it to work in this material as well. Like I mentioned, a few things need to be tweaked, and even the gold detail needs better to support (50% of it floats). It shouldn't take too long to get changes made. I'll order one in both materials soon.

Looks fantastic! How much is this going to cost? EDIT: I know you said this is being made for FE Prime, but why not make one for PRiD Prime too? Is it really that hard to rescale it--I hope this doesn't come across as being snippet, that isn't my intention.
Actually scaling this this is a big deal. At FE Prime scale the details are still to small to be printed well. I am adjusting them as we speak. To make them any smaller would mean they wouldn't print. Also isn't PriD Prime a voyager too? It would be in the same scale (and he can hold it). I don't have a PriD Prime to compare.
Someone was able to do a comparison. PRiD Optimus is exactly the same as FE Optimus, just roughly 1mm smaller.
That is good. So there is no need for 2 versions of the sword. It should fit into either 5mm hand. The only direction this sword should be scaled is up.
Love love love your design. I was looking for something to replace my FE Prime's rubber swords, and I think I just found it. Glorious. A holster would be awesome, too. If you have spare time when you're done... Maybe..?
Yeah, you could make definitely make it a bit bigger. (Yes, I'm back again. >.< Sorry, I really like this thing.) In the pics from the episode the sword is taller than Optimus, and you've got it juuuust under his head height-wise. I dunno how worried you are about it being super perfect, (It's pretty much there anyway though so feel free to ignore me.) but it wouldn't hurt to make it a bit bigger. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maqiu3ykTh1r6mrbqo1_1280.jpg Or you could make it people-sized, that'd be pretty cool, too.
I could make it bigger, but as you can see in the photos it is super long in the hands of optimus (that and examining the images makes me think the animators used multiple length sword.) There is also the issue that anything longer than 17cm can not be printed in ultra detail, only the standard plastic. We will see how this new prototype turns out.
I'd be happy to take a stab (pardon the pun) at blowing up the file and unfolding it as a human sized papercraft not unlike these other paper swords: Unofficial World of Warcraft Papercrafts Though, admittedly the Matrix Sword would be easier to papercraft lol
