    Hey

I have been using ebay for 7 years now

I was suspended today under the new rules as I have breached the "Seller Non-Performance policy"

In the last 30 days I have had 60 positives, 1 negative and NO disputes raised against me

I called the "ebay helpline" The guy spoke hardly any english and just quoted ebay scripts over and over and over

I am furious about this. I cannot buy or sell for 30 days and if I have not improved (How the fuck I can improve things with a suspended account!) in 30 days my account will be closed

My ebay bill for the last month was over £200 ($400)
    Some service eh?

    Ebay:
They changed their policy to get people to bid on auctions. As a buyer and sometime seller I don't feel their changes will benefit either group. Eventually sellers will drift away from ebay and their will nothing to bid on. I think it is a joke a seller cannot leave a buyer a negative feedback, there had to be a better way to end retalitory negatives than that. Such as if the buyer had proof of payment (paypal, canceled check or MO, credit card statement) then the seller could not leave a negative. Not only would that stop retaliatory negatives, it would probably get more people to use paypal.

The seller not being able to leave negative feedback is complete B.S.

I've had a bunch of deadbeat buyers recently that certainly deserve it.

I'm a bit surprised by a suspension though over 1 negative. Whenever I've had an issue I've always gotten the help I needed.

Absolutely ludicrous. This, apparently, is how much eBay cares about its sellers.

eBay really can be a bunch of ass-hats - they 'restricted' my account, claiming suspicious activity had been taking place on it - all I had been doing was bidding, winning and paying. They said I could only bid on items if I raised my feedback (which was 100%) - how did they expect me to do that?? Fucking morons. :(

This is the message they sent :-

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Access to your eBay account has been indefinitely restricted for breaching eBay's Seller Non-Performance policy by causing an unacceptable level of dissatisfaction amongst your buyers.

Our top priority is to ensure that eBay remains a safe and reputable place to buy and sell. You can only resolve this issue by settling feedback complaints received from your buyers. If you've any outstanding transactions you should also complete these..

Here's some steps you can take now:

" View emails sent from eBay in My Messages
    " Review your Feedback Profile
" Learn more about the Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described Process
" See all open disputes in the Dispute Console
    " Request a buyer's contact information

You'll have access to your account for thirty days to resolve feedback issues with your buyers and access emails in My Messages to conclude any outstanding transactions. However, you won't be able to make any new purchases or list any items with this account.

We'll review your account again after thirty days. If your account standing has not improved (i.e. you haven't sought resolution with buyers who've left feedback complaints against you or completed any open transactions if applicable ), your account will be indefinitely suspended
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    My feedback stats are:-

    1 month 6 months 12 months
    Positive 66 213 335
    Neutral 0 2 2
    Negative 1 2 2

Positive Feedback (last 12 months): 98.2%

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have no outstanding issues, no outstanding disputes

I have sent them an extensive email explaining how unhappy I am, just gotta wait and see what they say I guess

If your experience is anything like mine, an eBay robot will send you a stock reply and you'll end up banging your head off your desk. :(

And don't even get me started on Paypal - they must share the same customer service drones as their parent company.

    Ebay:
Suspending someone whose positive feedback is higher than 90% -IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS- is a fucking joke on epic proportions. There are power sellers out there with 92% positive feedback that are, to my knowledge, untouched.

Raise shit over this and cite any seller you see with a positive percentage lower than yours, man. This is ludicrous.

the seller non preformance thing is not only based on feedback ...it is also factored on those damned star ratings....DSR things...

if folks have given less than 4 out of 5 stars that also counts against you in the world of ebay math....

    :wtf:

    That sucks and blows man.

Self quoted from another recent ebay thread:

    "We're making too much money"
    "Too much money, eh?"
"What if we make it a nightmare to use, really fuck with them?"
"I love it! When can it start?"
    "May good for you?"

They did similar shit to me. I think I'm on their watch-list. I wouldn't be surprised if theirs a black van around the corner. They love to fuck around small time policy breakers, even if it's a simple mistake. God forbid they contacted you with a warning first. They expect you to know their policy front to back, even though they change their policies every fucking day. I swear to God you could put a puppy and a tea kettle on eBay and the tea kettle auction would be pulled because you put "Like New" in the title.

    /end rant.
