So while I was in Maryland for the weekend (Waldorf/La Plata area) I did some hunting, not that I expected to find much, especially not Concept Camaro Bumblebee.

While I was at Toys R Us, I saw only Protoforms for movie deluxes. I saw a few Classics remaining. Cliffjumper, Ramjet, and Mirage. But something was hiding behind some Protoforms....

    CLASSICS GRIMLOCK :rock

I haven't seen one on the pegs since February, and at the time wasn't interested in buying him at TRU because of the higher price tag. This time, I did not hesitate. I had already played with Omega Supreme-1's Grimlock and loved it, and now I have my own.

Is he really that rare? I was at Wal-Mart the other day and they had 3 or 4 Classics Grimlocks on the pegs. Don't know if they're still there, though.

Meh, I really did not like how that toy turned out. Alt mode's awesome looking and all, but robot mode's terrible.

Stays in storage at my house.

Yeah, Grimlock is pretty rare. I'm glad I got mine when I did, and not at TRU. :)

I never got one after my walmart.com fiasco. Their stock clearly came from either an actual store, or someone decided to test-drive Grimlock before I got him. Half of the entire plastic bubble was covered with tape to repair the fact that the package had been previously opened, there were cuts into the bubble, and Grimlock was sloppily twist-tied back in place and had several visible stress marks on parts of the body.

    Disgusting, yes?

I regret not picking him up from K-Mart's clearance section some time ago.

You aren't missing much, his bot mode is kinda "bleh" with a t-rex head for feet.

The only place I ever saw Grimlock was at K-Mart. It's like no one thought to look there.

Finding a Grimlock is not as rare as finding a Starscream would be.

I like that about him. It used the dino parts. As opposed to having them just flip back off the bot mode, like "wings". :redface2:

Well, I'm glad someone else knows exactly how I feel about a Transformer I sorta owned in the first place and probably desire for differing reasons. :dunce

Not saying that the original was great, but the classics version just kinda sucks. Skinny little legs with these big shells on the sides, with a t-rex head for feet just looks kinda weird. It's probably due to what you said about not wanting to just have pieces flip over to his back, but trying not to do that and keep it as close to the g1 version as possible just makes the bot mode look silly.

I found a second one recently and picked it up. I work at a optical lab. I worked at another store but they needed someone to go to the other one in town. It is a longer drive but i was willing to go. Well a girl who I worked with at the first one loved Grimlock. Well she suggested I apply for this call center job with AT&T as she had just been hired. So I did. Got an interview next Wed. If I get the job I'm giving her the Grimmy as a thank you gift for suggesting I apply.
