Seems the Wii has broken the all time launch sales record. Since Australia has loved the past two Nintendo consoles slightly less than wombat droppings, they have to take this as a good sign.

Very nice! Im glad that this fun little system is doing so well. :)

    But more importantly...

More sales = more games! :)  (Im itching for a Resident Evil for the Wii)

    Its insane at work.

In my section, behind the registers we have a big pile of Wii's. We got 200 in and ALL of them were for pre-orders alone. We didn't get any as floor stock. But customers can see the pile and keep asking to buy one, even though we can't sell them.

Anyway, had two guys about my age come up last weekend looking to score Wii. Saw the pile and asked to buy one. I explained that unless they had a pre-order, they can't have one.

So they says to me, they says:

"What if we accidently paid you $100 too much?"

And my hands are gripping the drawer under my register so hard my knuckles are going white as I say "no sorry cant do that" while my brain is imagining what I could ahve done with that extra $100.
