I just bought Supreme Devastator today. Should I open it and play with it or should I keep it in the box and preserve it as a collectable? It is not the same as my open or seal Legend Devastator.

Do you have to do this with all your toys ?

Do you want 100 votes again ?

Open. You paid $100 for you might as well get that much out of it.

Yeah, just open it and get your $100 worth from it. It's no use keeping it sealed since it's already exposed to the elements, dust, etc. I hear it's better than it looks.

    Oh open the darned thing.

It doesn't have much play value, BUT it looks much better loose than it does in the box.

It's nothing to write home about either way, but I seriously doubt this thing I gonna be fetching Fort-Max prices in 20 years. I'll be shocked if it HOLDS its value...

I'd have to agree with the openers on this one. I've been buying and selling pieces from lots (I buy them for customs and sell the rest) long enough to know this bad boy will only decrease in value. Haven't you heard all the movie fans saying even they will wait for a good sale to buy this guy?

Take Unicron and Primus for example they may, every once in a while go for $5 -10 more than retail but they aren't gaining value like Fort Max and Metroplex do. I think the key is looking for limited release items and in the case of G1 it's figures with a ton of accessories or that weren't popular to begin with and eventually (20 years later) people want to buy them to complete a set

Then frickin open it and put it where you wouldve just thrown the box, might as well not display it, but still open it so you can play with it and just set it off to the side.
