I agree. Please pick a less annoying gimmick. And no, it's not a heating issue that makes my door rattle.
There are no ghosts, it's the system assimilating some program that's doing something they're not supposed to be doing.
Eh. Lived in 4 haunted houses. While I've never seen anything definite (only two shadows of people behind doors when no one else was in the house or at the school) I've had lots of heavy presences, footsteps, knocks on doors... the first one I lived in, my mother saw a man with no face, people would hear whistling, and my eldest brother saw a white horse pulling a cart come running out of evening fog at him. I also apparently used to see some old man in the local cemetery there watching me, but I can't remember that one myself, it's been family who've told me about that one (we moved from there when I was 3 1/2). Second one, it was the other house on the farm that was specifically haunted, but our house had some weirdness as well - my nephews saw three shadows of people on their bedroom wall in the other house, I just saw the shadow behind the door in mine, and my youngest sister's boyfriend saw a figure in the room they were staying in at the time. Third place was a flat of mine, but flat 3 in the block had it worse... the only people who lasted in there were pretty heavy drug users, but they used to tell some weird stories to my neighbour... and we had two young girls move in one afternoon and they bolted from the flat early hours of the morning and wouldn't go back in. Fourth place was my ex-girlfriend's. Lots of footsteps and door knocks, a blown light that switched on and a heavy presence at the back end of the house. I do believe in ghosts, but I don't believe in motive intelligent spirits. I've had no direct evidence of that, but ghosts as images or recordings, I have.
Maybe it's not the location that's haunted, but you. I believe in ghosts. I have a fascination with ghosts, monsters and other creepy things of that nature.
I woke up at around 4 the other morning (had to get up at 5 for work, didn't get to sleep till 3) on the floor, on my knees, clutching my alarm clock in both hands staring at the numbers till they came into focus. I'm not sure, but I think I was a little stressed about getting up ... does that count?
Oh sure, so the upholsterygeist can spray it all over the hardwood floor, so when I get up in the middle of the night to pee, I slip and fall on the slippery floor, while the ghost laughs at me squeaking the chair back and forth. ... some help you are. I bet the upholsterygeist put you up to this, didn't he?
Yeah, remember all those times you'd find the carpet in the corner was soaking wet, and you'd ask Kick what happened, and he'd say the sink in the apartment upstairs was leaking, even though you guys lived on the top floor?
Ghosts? Pfft... Just demons acting like dead people to throw you off from the truth. And NO I can't tell you what the truth is. It's against board rules.
