Also the official website for Superman Returns got a redesign.
Um..to make more money? The big "July 4" movie almost always comes out on Wednesday anyway to milk the holiday weekend. With July 4 on a Tuesday and a lot of people taking Monday off, they're stretching "holiday weekend" to a full week.
Yay! Less waiting.
I wonder--didn't Bay say the TF teaser trailer would be out for the weekend of the 4th? There might be a chance to see it with "Superman Returns," because I can't imagine Paramount/Dreamworks not trying to get the TF teaser in front of the biggest movie they possibly can.
Not overwhelmed by what I've heard, but kind of looking forward to Superman anyway, for whatever reason. Even if it's not a masterpiece, it'll probably be entertaining. And if it isn't, I'll have something to pointlessly complain about for weeks on end! Where's the bad here?
Well, I'm glad that the movie's release has been pushed forward...I'm really looking forward to seeing it especially when I saw the trailers while I was watching X-men 3!
Coolness. Get to see it earlier.
Don't forget, there's also PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2 out on July 7th, which is also going to attract a lot of viewers.
I think they moved BATMAN BEGINS' debut last year to a Wednesday because of WAR OF THE WORLDS being in close proximity.
Excellent. I was worried they were going to delay it.
Some more release date information from Superman Homepage:
Superman Returns will premiere in Los Angeles on June 21st at the Mann Village Theatre, Westwood.
The London premiere is set for July 13th at the Odeon Leicester Square cinema.
No details on the New York premiere yet.
The "2 days earlier" report isn't 100% accurate. Fans will actually be able to catch the movie a few hours earlier on Tuesday June 27th, with some cinemas screening the movie at 10:00pm.
The movie has been listed as having a running time of 155 minutes (2 hours 35 mins).
i was worried they were going to delay it a year or two...
i saw the trailer for supes when i saw x3 it looks like it has momentum
I also saw the most recent SR trailer prior to Poseidon. Better than the previous trailers but I am still not overwhelmed by it enough to see it on the big screen. Maybe if I have nothing else to do on 4th of July weekend.
