I'm not sure if this has been pointed out before or not, but ever since i got a ROTF Superion in HK, I found Air Raid's jet to be rounded off at the front. It's just that i diddn't have my other aerialbots limbs to compare, so i couldn't be sure. But looking at my Energon Windrazor, the nosecone is definitely pointy. I've attached an image of this. So, i'm just wondering whether or not this is for safety reasons or what? Because, i also have Universe Superion, and that definitely is pointy as well. Why's the one from ROTF different? EDIT: I should probably mention that the same applies to all the limbs sharing this mold.
Just a precautionary safety thing. Not sure why it wasn't an issue during the original release, but eh.
Damn, that totally ruins my whole kitbash, and it's not exactly like i can refund the thing. *ahem* Surprising, considering I would've thought that Energon and Universe would've been more kid oriented than ROTF, anyday.
Rules have just gotten stricter..pretty soon all our transformers will resemble unicron in planet mode and transform into a ball
Hey Treadshot is your Superion head loose? Mine is like really floppy. Like the pin isnt push all the way into the head or something.
My Universe version has the rounded jet nose: I'd honestly assumed all the Universe/RotF versions would be round-nosed versions.
Maybe i haven't paid enough attention to my Universe one. Come to think of it, i can't find it anywhere. And no, my Superion head isn't floppy. It's fine on all three versions i have.
Mine is like that as well while my Superlink Superion is pointy. I thought that all of the US releases were like this? So, the energon one is pointy too?
My namesake does have a pointed nosecone. It's great for stabbing people with... ...I think i just answered my own question there...
Yeah. Energon figures are pointy. I asked this a while back to help decide on which Superion I wanted.
Yeah, they noses were dulled down for safety reasons. Toy safety laws have been stricter in the past few years between the lead paint scare and such. Like how Hasbro has come out and said that they can't use the Classics Voyager Megatron mold in America anymore. Asian market is much more lax on the safety laws. Much more.
Crap, really? This is the first time I've heard of it. Does this mean future imports of Henkei Megatron are affected too?
Not that I can notice. I really only know of a few shops that carry Henkei figures, but each one of them has Megatron. The two I own were actually bought in person here in Seattle.
I think as long as they're not releasing it here, they can't really be responsible if someone else decides to import one. Though i don't know anything about toy safety laws, so don't hold me to that.
