Bah weep grana, bah weep nineebah (sp?) 
I've lurked here for years and finally decided to join in the fun and comradery! I figured I'd start with Energon Superion as he was really my first kitbash. I'd taken a sharpie to some of my animated figures and even done some basic mods to them, but nothing that really involved creating unique pieces to get the desired result etc...
I thought that even with the FP aerial appendage kit, Superion still didn't look like he could go toe to toe with Bruticus with his FP crossfire and munitioner kits. So... I tried to fix that!

Parts list:

Energon Superion Maximus with the fp snowman kit
knock off g1 Superion chest pieces
Classics Jetfire
small white u bracket, small rectangular magnets, energon star, super glue and a little loctite expoxy putty

Whoops, I didn't realize he was leaning, that jet pack is kind of heavy for him, but he still stands! I should probably get one of Process's abdomen fillers to strengthen him up a little...

Initially I just made the chest shield and was happy w/this, till I stumbled across a donor jetfire booster pack...


Here's a comparo shot with Bruticus. Bruticus still has a height advantage, but I think Superion stacks up a lott better now-



I'm netural with regards to partsforming, but in this case, I was able to make his armor into an armored drone, so it's partsforming, but with an alt mode!

Chest Shield-



Here's the mounting point for the chest shield, I used a modded ubracket that's used for mounting wire shelving:



Here's a shot of the bracket, I just snipped the ends and angled them to give the shield the proper fit-

I promise you that he was a junker and so this seemed like a good way to enable him to live on, kind of like ROTF Jetfire... plus, you can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs, as the saying goes.

just a thought

if you could find a way to build cybertron clocker into the combiner form and bulk him up with fansproject bruticus shoulder exstenison parts and give him energon blight and tank limb blast off for the tank limb lower legs and fansproject bruticus feet

you would have the makings for a very badass looking fansproject style liokaiser

 

Very interesting.... Maybe Strongarm instead of clocker for alt mode's sake, but incorporating either as an actual waist into Storm Jet would be tricky, but perhaps just as a feaux waist... if nothing else, I could plug in the bruticus lower legs and fiddle around w/the shoulders. If I can figure out anything w/it I'll start a wip thread. I've got a couple other irons in the fire rt now, but I think you're on to something here, good idea.
