Okay, did anyone understand what the hell happened this issue? Because I am seriously lost. :sly:

I hope Kelly's run picks up after he starts working on storylines he plans out himself, instead of following what Rucka was planning to do. But if this issue is going to be an example of how things are going to be, consider this title dropped.

I'm just shocked to hear it actually came out this quick. ( I just got 7 two weeks ago)

Yea. Saturn Girl or whoever that "mother" was in the Superman/Batman arc was trapped in limbo after the universe corrected itself in that same arc. Ultraman also was trapped in the same limbo when Identity Crisis wiped out his Earth. She became his mother during that time with some slight mental suggestions and somehow they ended up in Kandor (which accoring to everything DC must be taken over by an evil Superman every few years).

Meanwhile Kara, who was already confused to her existance, became another victim of Saturn Girl. With more suggentions, she made Kara fall in love with Ultraman. She was able to break free when the yellow sun revitalized her powers and mind.

    There ya go.

Okay, well there you go. I don't read Supes/Bats and I haven't looked at Identity Crisis in months.

How did Identity Crisis wipe out any Earths?

I think he meant Infinite Crisis, but maybe every time a second-tier or lower character gets killed off a parallel Earth dies.

Even in Infinite Crisis I don't remember the Crime Syndicate's Earth being Destroyed...

It was in Infinite Crisis, they show the rest of the Crime Syndicate getting killed while Ultraman flys away.

I think it was during the time when Alexander Luthor was picking up Earths and smooshing them together. I'll have to check.

I thought he died because he flew into the anti-matter?

    Well, he's not dead.

    He lives.

This issue sucked. So far we've had a world tour of catfights, and now, OYL of suck. Grrrreat.

    Ebay:
That CSA is dead (the one Alex Luthor came from).

People are, I'm guessing, talking about the new CSA that live on an Earth that's on the other side of the sun. They had their own one-off dealo with things like...

    *vague teeny spoilers*

-Johnny Quick is addicted to a superdrug
-Lois Lane is Superwoman, and Jimmy Olsen is a pathetic little fetishy man that watches her change uniforms in the Daily Planet supply closet
-Owlman is the nemesis of Thomas Wayne

    *end teeny vague spoilers*

...and other stuff like that! It was a very cool read for me, but I had no idea they appeared in IC. O_O I need to re-read...which issue were they in?

Where was that? I vaguely remember the Lois Lane changing with Jimmy and J Quick on drugs but I can't for the life of me remember where it happened.

And yes, I meant Infinite Crisis.

It was in the JLA: EARTH 2 story, where the JLA discovers the anti-matter world of the new Crime Syndicate.

Was that the hardcover story or the JLA issues after that Pain of the Gods arc?

This is the first issue of Supergirl where I felt disappointed. It just felt so rushed, and I was confused not having read any of those stories you apparently need for background. And what the hell happened at the end?

Here's hoping it gets good again next issue.

is this the one with supergirl and power girl fighting on the cover? if it was, i have a problem remembering it because it was so lame my mind is subconsciously trying to repress memory of it.
