I left my Superpants prime in a box for a few months*in super mode* and I go to take it out and the super arm with the electronics wont turn. I think it has to do with the wires but I cant get it open to mess with them. Has anyone else had this problem? I got my Prime directly from Hasbro(if that means anything)

Umm, you have to take the screws out in the upper shoulder, and pry it apart, things will snap and crack, and sound bad, but its glued, and pretty much the only way. Once you get that opened, you can pretty much open the the rest and see whats wrong. Or you could always try replaceing the batterys. :p

The wiring is preventing the arm from turning... I doubt replacing the batteries would work...

there's a plastic tab in his armpit, coming off the blue shoulder guard.

    cut that tab off.

    ta-daa! articulation!!!

just don't spin it around too far. but he can point his arm straight forward now without problems.

Please bear in mind, not all Armada Primes suffered from this complication. Only the first run of them did, there was a running change later on that did away with them.

Maybe he has the changed version without the plastic blocker? And back in the day, he rotated the arm around enough times to twist the wires to the point it won't twist anymore.

Try rotating it the other way.

Which way would that be? I have no idea... Should i just go all the way one way until i hear the wires snap? Your idea has been the best solution I have heard for this...

here, I dug prime out and got a picture of the tab I cut off.

sorry for the bad quality of the pic, I was in a rush.

the white mark on the armpit is where the tab was on both sides. if the tab isnt there (meaning its not a first-run prime), then try turning his arm in any direction LIGHTLY. it'll move either front or back. whichever way it moves, rotate it only once to give it normal articulation again. his arm isnt meant to rotate in either direction more than once.

if the tab is there, I just cut it off with a hobby knife.

Thanks for the pic. Mine is after 1st run. No tab. I'll see about rotating it...

I both broke the tab off and twisted the arm until the wires broke...I didn't know what I was doing at the time and was a little disappointed, but now I don't really care...since the thing's a brick I'd rather salvage some articulation rather than have a tiny christmas light in the hand;)

But yeah, thats all I did, twist it around until the wires broke.

well, what I did kept the wires intact and gave full articulation, so I'm happy.

My thought was that you already rotated it 360 degrees in one direction or the other. I was suggesting turning it the other way. I don't know which way you went. Try to move it one way, if it doesn't want to, then move it the other way. If it's stiff that way too, then I have no idea what the problem is.

After further inspection, it is the piece inside the arm (the inner shoulder joint) that is causing the problem. The peg was present and I had it turned about 20 degrees too far. Any ideas on what to do about the inner shoulder joint(the spinny one) not turning?
