That has to be an early version of Ken's face- it looks pretty bad at this point but I am sure it will change.

Aslong as this game has a quality representation of Ken then i'm happy. Nothing compares to Ken, he is so awesome. I still hold Capcom vs. SNK: 2 as the best 2D fighter ever.

 

The above pictures don't look too hot to me. I assume it's going to get better by the time of release though.

HD SFII is looking nice though.

It looks okay, but it really is limited by the fact that they did not add new animation frames.

Still, I really look forward to it.

 

Its not like you'll have much time to notice while playing it, ST is a game that will eat you for breakfast if your not paying full attention to the match.

It's nice that they are making another Street Fighter but I'm not sure if I will buy it right away. They will probably milk it just like II and III so we will get something like Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter IV: Ultra, and then the final Street Fighter IV: Ultimate Edition. I would like to see all of the SF II characters make it into one edition but Guile and Cammy are my main two I would like to see return right now.

The look of the game is OK so far but I need to see more than just Ryu and Ken and see it in motion. A demo sometime in 2008 would be great.

I'm a bit sad about when it's 'placed' in the time line. I'd have liked to have seen them progress it a bit, but I guess that would make some of the original characters just a tad to old for most of the fans.

One of the three Street Fighter 3 incarnations omitted the old cast from its line up on characters on the arcade version. Casual arcade gamers hated it as they just wanted to play with people they have always liked, i.e Ryu, Chun-Li etc so Capcom realised they had limited themselves in any possible attempt at update the series as it seemed if it didn't include certain favourites people wouldn't play it regardless.

If they had got rid of Ryu/Ken all together they knew they have to have ideal replacements (eg. Sean) so from a storyline persepctive ST4 won't be too far in the future.

If I can play as Ken and Sagat I would be really happy but I really want them to have mostly new character or returning ones from SF3 instead, like Alex. Make it feel fresh while still having the gameplay we all enjoy.

 

Nope, Ken and Ryu are in all versions of SF3. Theres always been talk that they were missing from early test versions of NG, but i've never seen any actual proof of that.

 

I read a huge article on it in an old Gaming Magazine. Take it the omitted thing aint true then, so it didn't get bad feedback. Nevermind.

 

Well, there must have been SOME reason they added Chun-Li and Akuma, so it's half-right.
