Or SSF2THDR if you will.
...wait, I don't have an xbox or ps3.
I do not presently own either an Xbox 360 or a PS3, and it is not an exaggeration to say that this is the tipping point for me to get one or the other. Can't wait.
Ken owns! The Face and hair seems the most re-drawn.
I might have to download it, when it is released just hope its a decent port.
I wish more companies re-releasing old games over download services would take a similar approach to this.
so they re-re-re-re-releasing sf2? cool.
If this actually controls well unlike SF2, I will go nuts on this.
I wouldent worry about that, its being built from the original arcade code and the company that Capcom have farmed it out to have a competition level fighting game player working for them.
If anything, the single player AI is the thing to be concerned about. It'll be fine if they've got the sense to use the code from the Japanese version or something new, but the western Super Turbo AI would be inpenatrable for 95% of the folks buying the game.
I said wow.
this is the one where everything is redrawn by Udon aint it?
looks pretty shnazzy
Yup. Everything is being completely redrawn, including backgrounds. It seems like overkill for yet another release of SF2. But damn, it'll look good in HD.
WOW! That looks awesome!
A great update for one of my all time favorite games.
The first was Ryu, with a comparisson of his previous sprite's actual size, what it would look like scaled up, and then the new HD sprite.
That would be this one.
As awesome as that is, I could never get into any of the various SFII incarnations.
I love SF but haven't payed a lot of attention to this yet (as I don't have any next/new gen systems yet). Can anyone fill me in on this point, I've heard that the sprites are being redone for HD (yes by UDON), but the actual animation frames will be the same amount as the original game? So that, yeah it'll look better drawn, but the animations won't be as smooth as the Alpha/Zero series or SF3.
