People are thinking Crash will now make it in.

I'm thinking Spring Man is going to replace Lil-Mac, unless Ribbon Girl is the one to represent.

I'd like if Dillon just replaced Sonic and was no longer just an assist trophy.

Snipperclips could be an assist trophy, they just run from both sides of the opponent and cut a bit out of them/attack them.

I'd love if the top of New Donk Tower where Pauline performs is a arena, be cool to fight with her providing background music.

 

Give me Shantae and Shovel Knight. It's all I want in life.

 

Oh Goodie! I've hardly played with my Nintendo Switch. And now I have a full reason.

Just Kidding!   Though DOOM guy did appear on Nintendo Switch, he also appeared on Gameboy Advance, Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo, the DOOM series has a not so friendly reputation.

Unless he is a assist trophy. The HUD appears on screen, one of 3 weapons randomly appears: plasma rifle, rocket launcher and BFG.

Plasma rifle fires 50 shots and each shot does 2% damage.
Rocket launcher fires 10 shots and each shot does 20% damage and a possibility of knocking out the fighter.
With a very low chance of appearing, BFG fires 1 shot and everybody (except for the player who used the assist trophy) is automatically k.o.ed. no form of escape can help you.

For newcomers I want to see Simon Belmont, Arthur and Bayonetta. And I hope my boy is back.

 

personal opinion, i think this is an EXTREME port to the switch, meaning it'll have all the characters from smash wiiU/3ds, with more characters, and features from both systems (i'd prefer just smash run. smash tour wasn't fun....)

as for newcomers, beside inkling, i can see springman from Arms. with springtron/ribbon girl alts, Crash, because, COME ON!!!! and the missing veterans as well.

as for what i want.... shantae. shovel knight, Simon belmont, zeraora (need that 8-gen rep)
more zelda characters (maybe lana from hyrule warriors) another F-zero rep,....and sans...

and also, more palutena advice scenes. i imagine the mewtwo one having viridi being confused, or having palutena say "no data found" to homage that episode in the anime. then mewtwo joins the talk psychically and explains. not to mention the fun bits of dialogue for sans.

btw. i'm FULLY convinced about it being an expansion because i remember about 2 months after the final dlc was released, there was a leaked job application implying this was happening. if they worked as hard to make this expansion like they did with the dlc timing, i can totally see at least 7 fighters added minimum.

 

I’m conflicted here. On the one hand, part of me really wants to pick this up because I really liked the old Smash games but haven’t played one since Brawl or owned one since the OG. On the other hand, as someone who has suffered through the interminably long Smash finals at Evo I don’t want to support this game or its community. Not sure how I’ll go here.

Shion (Wonder Boy)
Bren McGuire (to celebrate the return of Factor 5)
Kevin Keane

I'm almost assuming they'll add Bayonetta and maybe Shovel Knight.

 

Look on the bright side... Get this one and it'll do nothing but piss off the "MELEE IS THE BESTEST!" crowed.  

 

I’m hoping for Shovel Knight and a Dark Souls character.

 

One of the major omissions from previous incarnations, for me, has been Simon Belmont. Such an iconic NES game, and no SSB representation. SAD!
