I know there is already a Power Rangers toy thread,
But Sentai and Power Rangers are two entirely different things (Refrence Boukenger)

    Anyone else excited about Daishogun?

Are you talking about the movie exclusive Go-onger mecha? Because from what I have seen from promo pics is that the are just remolded versions of Engine-Oh.

Personally, I like the older ones better.

Actually, we've already been talking plenty about Sentai in the Power Rangers thread.

Would just like to pop in and say I'm a huge Sentai fan. I don't have the room or money to collect the merchandise, but I know a lot about the series if anyone needs to know anything.

It is my dream to one day buy the whole combo of Daizujin, Dragon Caesar and King Brachion. The american version replaced all the stickers which sucks.

The Gaoranger series had my favorite mecha. That series and Abaranger are the only sentai series I went out of my way to get all the mecha for. I have a ton of others, but those are my favorites.

I would have to say that Ult. Daibouken is my favorite, mostly because it was my first time buying a sentai mecha.
    Thanks BoA and your shittyness!

And the go-onger mech is really good so far, loving every single one of them so far.
Review your sentai stuff, REVIEW IT!

    I do really want to pick up an Ultimate Daibouken, if not for being a Sentai toy that really broke the mold in terms of not being a statue posability-wise. So pricey though. ;_;

Also really want to get ahold of Magiking for being crazy-nice toy engineering.

Well, the american version is pretty much the same, aside from some paint. And yes, that toy is freaking incredible. I love the fact that it is completely symmetrical.

I'm a huge fan of the Black Version sentai robos. I've gotten almost all of the regular black versions, and done a couple of customs too:

I recolored Tenkuujin/Samurai Star and Tricondor/Ninja Firebird, GaoElephant, and Thunder Megazord (which has the weapons from my Japanese DaiRenOh).

Only custom here is Victory Mars/Omega Megazord.

V-Rex, Dragon Caesar, and all the Dairanger stuff are the Japanese versions.

I've got Engine DaiShogun on preorder... it looks really sweet.

I have the american Magiking (Titan Megazord I think?) but I want to get the japanese Complete edition. The only problem I've found is that the dragon's 'ears' warp because they are made of rubber and the tail of the dragon mode doesnt hold in placer securely so if you lift it up it doest stay in place.

I saw the Super Train Megazord at The Earth a long time ago. You really can't appreciate the sheer size of that thing until you see it in person.

The big Sentai thing I've been wanting for the longest time are the candy toy robos. The ones that are super poseable, yet still transform and combine. Those are just so neat. We actually got one over here, once. You know those boxed playset packs, that have little figurines and a megazord figure? The Mystic Force one was actually the candy toy version. It was pretty awesome that they did that. They haven't done it since, though. I also saw KO's of Dekaswat Robo, and Dekabase Robo candy toys at Big Lots one time last year. It was kind of silly, though. The whole thing with the Dekaranger candy toys, was that they had a universal peg system. So you could swap the parts any way you liked. These KOs had the upper torsos all switched around. One also came with this tiny Dekaranger Robo. It transformed and combined and everything. It was pretty sweet. Unfortunately I didn't have the money at the time.

I remember my dad went looking for this when it came out. And when he brought it home I saw the HUGE box, I just remember shoving my lightspeed zords into the train mode and feeling how heavy the thing was. I get goose bumps at the sheer size of the thing every time I hold it in my hands.

When you're comparing the show's Megazords size to other ones, I think the DekaBase Robo is the second biggest next to the Grand Liner. I gotta check the Super Sentai Time Capsule for it.

Dekabase is ok looking, but so far they have yet to make another carrier-style robo as good as Grand Liner. It's just about the only one that isn't practically one solid piece.

And on a related note, I wish they'd stop with the remote controlled and walking gimicks. They ruin some of the best robos. V-Rex, Magi Legend, and SaiDaiOh are prime examples. It's one reason why I really want the candy toy robos. They actually have more than 3 joints.
