Anyone else plan on DLing this game tomorrow?
If you do, look me up and we'll get some intense puzzle-fighting action going on.

Really looking forward to this. Screenshots have me a tad worried though. I know Udon is giving this the HD treament like they are for SSF2THDR. And all the backgrounds look phenominal, as do the new puzzle pieces. But the characters look like they've just been blurred and lack the detail of the new bg's and puzzle pieces.

Now that won't affect the gameplay itself, but it's just something I noticed.

Whoa, I see what you're talking about. Still, fantastic puzzle game but odd blurry fighters.

I thought MS didn't require you to buy points. Don't you just pay for the ammount of the download?

That seems an odd choice, especially since everything else looks fantastic. But I guess it was just easier to redraw all the static stuff instead of the (barely) animated sprites.

Nah -you have to buy points. You can buy a card, or you can buy them on the web or through Live.
But it sucks because they don't have a 100 points = 1 dollar system so you always have to think about how much you are really paying for.

I think they decided not to increase the sprite resolution to keep the game's size down. It would have been nice if everything got the HD redraw though.

Oh, and TODAY IS NOT WEDNESDAY!

Closer to Columns on the Genesis/Arcade. It's really addictive.

I always did like Columns more, sounds like this is another Live game I will need now.

Plus, there are some funny animations the characters do when you get combos -Dan is particularly funny.
