So does that mean they can add more content seeing its being moved onto a DVD....and i guess with this gone (and Zelda also appearing on the Wii), the GC doesnt have anything good no more...

Honestly, it's not like the Gamecube has anything going for it anymore anyway.

Then whats it doing on the PS2?? oh yeah. The 3rd parties screwed the Cube over...

Anyway, the Cube's last hurah is Zelda. And thats one hell of a great last hurah!

Anyway. Yay Wii! Maybe this will be one of those games where you can hold the controller on like an old NES.

GameCube will go the way of the X-Box. Left for dead for 3rd party developers.

Problem is, Nintendo doesn't have any! D'oh!

nintendo admitted to there mistakes handling the GCN, but with the support they are getting for the Wii they have certainly corrected those errors.

Really only thing left I'm waiting for is Baiten Kaitos Origins.

Maybe if the titles actually sold better they wouldn't have abandoned ship. Given it's quality, reviews, and pedigree, RE4's sales were pitiful on the GCN.

At least Nintendo is getting the Wii out on time, and in decent numbers..... and don't claim dead pixels are a feature.

Well considering two weeks before the NGC version was released.. Capcom went and said it'd be on the PS2 with extra content.. It's capcoms own damn fault.

Poor Gamecube. I wonder how the sales of the two versions of Twilight Princess will stack up against each other.

I plan on getting a Wii as soon as I can, but I feel for the folks who can't afford to upgrade asap. No matter how much they may enjoy their game, it must sting a little to know it's not the best it can be.

I guess the same can be said for XBOX v. XBOX 360 crossplatform stuff, too.

True, and I WAS a Gamecube fan.

    But, this I find interesting:

    http://cube.ign.com/articles/731/731939p1.html

Apparently the wee Gamecube is OUTSELLING the XBox 360 in Japan. Wow. I guess Microsoft just can't get a break in Japan.

Honestly, I don't think anybody will ever "outsell" the best selling game system of all time. Nintendo Game Boy (including Game Boy Advance). 10+ million units worldwide.

In that same article IGN is stating that the Nintendo DS (my favorite gaming system) has sold over 5,000,000 units in 2006 alone. Damn. The PSP, in Japan, has sold close to 1,400,000 units. Wow. If this continues, Nintendo's Dual Screen system may beat the Game Boy's record in two and a half years.

I can't believe Nintendo used the wrong version of "their" twice in a 5-year span.

Slag, and I really wanted that game, too.. not nearly enough to buy what I think is an utterly ridiculous system, though, regardless of the price. Why can't they release it on both platforms at the same time?!

I would've rather seen them scrap the game and any future iterations of the Paper Mario series and work with Square/Enix and make a true sequel to Mario RPG.

Dont get me wrong,I enjoyed the past couple Paper Mario games, but they're really just a distraction from what we should be getting.
