It's too bad these (including the Headmaster series) are not available in Toronto :cry

Hopefully, someone will take the initiative to import these to Canada one day.

Are you sure Silver Snail doesn't import some DVD's? They had a huge store when I checked it out last year.

"Had its ups and downs" would be the best way to describe it. Competant and functional translation that allowed you to understand the show, but quite a few niggling - and sometimes just stupid - TF-based mistakes that avoided correction.

Masterforce, however, being translated by TVNihon sub-master Buster Darkwings, kicks the proverbial ass.

Any word on whether this is region-free like Headmasters yet?

Spectacular. :)  I'll order off Amazon UK soon as I get some cash. :)

-ZacWilliam, for anyone wondering, I did the same with Headmasters and it got here to the US REALLY QUICK. Well worth it. :)

I just ordered my Headmasters set off of Amazon.UK and it was only about $33 US with shipping! :rock  I know the subs weren't perfect, but they're a definite improvement over anything thats been out. These are as close to official as we might see, so thats why I'm grabbin em'.

Besides Beast Wars, Masterforce was definitely the series I liked the most out of all the Transformers cartoons I've seen.

I really hope they can also get the rights to all the fillers in between Beast Wars and Beast Machines. (Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo & Beast Wars Metals) :D

Ah, thanks for the info Spearhead. :)  I just checked out the episode listing on Seibertron.com and it looks like it was season 2 & 3. One less series I need. :D

I kinda wish it would happen as well, though I think it was unlikely, because there wasn't any DVD sources available for Second and Neo.

I hear there are some good VHS copies out there, but obviously those aren't up to DVD standards.

Not saying it's impossible, but I think it is unlikely. I'm still hoping though that Metrodome includes TF Zone on the Victory volume or makes that available somehow. I've got a subbed version of that, but I'd like to own it on DVD. Nothing beats sitting and watching these great old shows in the comfort of my room.

Not entirely true. Years back, we got all of Beast Wars on VHS (save, bizarrely, for Aftermath (given away as a freebie with Transmetal Spittor or Transmetal Claw Jaw) and Optimal Situation (given away as a freebie at Woolworths when you spent more than £20 on Transformers for a very limited time))
We've also got two DVDs collecting The Agenda through to Changing of the Guard (which includes Optimal Situation), and the more recent one covers the next three or four episodes.

But yeah, as far as DVDs go we're shortchanged. Beast Machines especially, that only aired over here two or three times through with so little advertising that you'd be forgiven for thinking it never aired at all. Heck, Beast Wars itself was only available on VHS for the most part. The third season and most of season 1 never aired, and that which did was only shown sporadically, usually on national holidays.

But anyhow, Transformers on TV over here has always been spotty. At least Metrodome is dealing up the goods with the DVDs. They're getting my full support, especially since I can finally get these great shows on DVD.

    I have a question:

I just noticed my dad's DVD player has a button that toggles between NTSC and PAL format. Does that mean I can watch these UK DVDs there without problems, or do I need another TV?

P.S.: I know I can watch these on a computer, but I'd rather watch 'em on a TV.

From the sound of it, that button should indeed allow you to watch these DVDs without a problem.
