Thumbs Up - Audi "Progress", Pepsi "Dylan"

Thumbs Down - Doritos "Crystal Ball" - just creepy (even creepier than Bob Dylan).

My wife is really, really particular when it comes to movie comedies. She particularly dislikes "dumb comedy" - like the "Scary Movie" films- but the commercial for Year One (to my amazement) got a LOL from her.

Bridgestone "Potato Head" commercial is full of win.

Fast and Furious is just more car porn. No thanks.

NBC does seem to be making the most of their own promos.

If they had played it semi-straight, like Ghostbusters or Galaxy Quest, maybe it would work. The idea, despite its S&MK origins, is a good one for a SF adventure franchise. Shame that they're turing into a farcical comedy.

The Star Trek ad was a yawn. Mostly the same footage, just edited much faster.

    ....

Cars.com? Not good. We're supposed to sympathize with that guy?

Budweiser amazes me every year with their ability to punch out one great ad after another.

The Pepsi Max ad seems like the culmination of two decades worth of America's Funniest Home Videos.

I did like the Budweiser/Bud Light ones. They never disappoint.. Year One looks funny.. The Audi was decent.

Haven't cared much for many of the others..

One I've seen bits of is the remake of Mean Joe Green. Boo. Ad world has run out ideas that now they are remaking classic Commercials? Leave the classics alone..

    Year One looks great.

I liked that flowers one too. "Nobody wants to see you naked."

I liked the NBC LMAO one.

I really wanted to see the Monsters vs. Aliens one in 3D but none of the stores that were supposed to have the displays with the 3D glasses had any and the 3D glasses I did happen to have didn't work. Hopefully I can find some before the new episode of Chuck tomorrow night.

I was surprised to see the GI Joe teaser so early. Still waiting for TFs.

Aliens vs Monsters, suprisingly, gets no interest from me.
The 3D ballet was just... odd.
    The LMAO is classic.
Heroes football was aweome (really, NBC is winning the night).
    The astronauts were good.
    More Clydesdale goodness.
    The moose butt was funny.
Race to Witch Mountain looks better than I thought. Not good. Just better than I expected.
TF2, finally. But really no different than the Trek and Joe trailer - quick cutting FX pimping. Where's the story?
Not sure what to make of the career builder koala-punching commercial.
I know one entemology enthusiast who'll love that coke commercial.
Really liked the first Conan commercial.

My friend had an overdose of awesomeness from the ROTF trailer, and after I told him that the Constucticon wasn't Devestator & that is was only one of his limbs, well you can guess how he reacted to that.

Heck, you guys really saw all those commercials?

I only caught the second half after returning from church but, in this Redneck Paradise I live in, evidently our NBC station was more content with showing our usual local ridiculous commercials....you know the ones...the obnoxious car dealerships, the ambulance chasing law firms, the local trinket shops that no one goes to, the moneyforgold.com scammers.
