Sunstorm vs Skyfire and Optimus Colors Hi everyone. D'you remember Crobot91's drawings? Well, I asked him for permission to add color to some of his drawings and he accepted, so I'll show you know how they ended. This is Sunstorm vs Skyfire, or Jetfire...well, the Robotech guy. I know that Sunstorm is more like "Sunburn". I made him darker 'cos I wanted to show him burning rather than just shining. Coloring this guy was very fun, but doing Sky-Jetfire was really painful Her is the pic, click on it to see a larger version. And now Optimus, the brave Autobot leader. I usually don't color this way, but I'm learning more techniques, so I wanted to see what could I do with this pic. This is a panel from a page that Crobot did, I'm planning to color all the page, but it requires time and patience What do you think? Do you guys like them? Don't forget to visit Crobot's website, where you can find more of his cool art: http://www.geocities.com/crobot91/crobot.html
U r doing fine. U'll get better at it. Yor coloring style is unique, unlike popular coloring technik. pay more attention to lightings and shadow.
Thanks for the colours! Lookin' good, real good IMO. Feel free to colour more... 'cause I suck at it!
Nice work. The best advice I can give you is to try hard lights and shadows and work your way from there. There's not much depth to the characters as there should be. I do like the highlights though they're different but not all TF's are teh uber-shiny remember haha
Dat means good. goody goood. 2 ways to look at art related job: 1. standards - you follow standard set by your employer or by society. 2. unique - a company is looking for new kind of artist. dat's U. U be like Jae Lee da man. be unique. dont be afraid to play with color, uncle Nike said "just do it." and uncle Adidas said "impossible is nothing.". So do dat. be unique. thre r still places for unique people. and pay attention to lightings and shadow. savvy? cheers
Thanks everyone for your opinnions. Yeah, it's true, I have problems with lights and shadows, I'll try to keep it in mind in the future.
don't take it as you have problems... think of it more like a trouble spot... a problem is something that needs a definitive solution in coloring there's never really a solution you just keep working
