Since I got back into Transformers, I want to bring some of my old ones and new ones up to my bedroom and display them somewhere special. Since it's most likely to be in the sun all day, should I worry about the sunlight draining their colors? I have had it happen to a model figure from Yu-Gi-Oh!, so I'm worried if it will affect my Transformers figures too.

Yes, it affects all plastics, and a whole lot more. If you want your Transformers to keep their shine, keep them out of the sun.

it will affect anything plastic. So put up a piece of cardboard or do something if you want your stuff to live :)

Short answer: Yes. it will affect them as well.
It's never a good idea to put figures in direct sunlight; fading and yellowing can be big problems, especially with older TFs.

Is it direct sunlight, or any sunlight that enters the room?

None of my stuff is in front of the window, but they are on the wall beside it.

And bear in mind that SOMETIMES there are ways to re whiten yellowed plastic.

Direct sunlight will affect the toys quickly - a few months would be enough to notice discolouration of lighter plastics.

As long as the sun doesn't shine right on them, they'll be fine for a lot longer.
