Been procrastinating from getting this for a while but now it's time to tack this issue. I'm in the market for a reliable hard drive for my imac. Something that's just going to sit on the desk next to it. Doesn't need to be mobile. Prefer to be a TB or bigger. You guys got any suggestions of brands or models?

I have a prtable wd drive as well at home that works pretty well

:lol  I asked you for help and you said to just buy a random one that's the cheapest. I want something that will last for a while.

Bah it's not like if you pay a few $ more its going to have a better chance of lasting longer, you can spend $150 on an external and it can die before the $50 external.

I have people ask these types questions all the time, Expensive external drives still have the same time of drives as the cheap ones.

If your Imac has firewire id pick up a drive that can do both firewire and usb.
