I recently fixed my DS Lite (long story), and I'm thinking about picking up a new DS game. The problem is, though, that I already have a majority of the "must-haves":

    Tetris DS
    Metroid Prime Hunters
    Mario Kart DS
    New Super Mario Bros.
    Meteos
    Brain Age
    Animal Crossing
    Trauma Center

So...what else is out there that is a truly great game for the system? I've heard good things about Final Fantasy III, but I'm pretty involved with Final Fantasy XII at the moment. Phoenix Wright: Attorney at Law is legendary, but my housemates have it, and given that, I'd rather not pay the price it appears to be going for. I've also heard that Yoshi's Island DS is a superior game to New SMB. Plus, I know that Worms: Open Warfare 2 comes out in the summer, as does the Transformers movie game (which could be great).

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

I was beaten to Puzzle Quest, so i'll say if you like Castlevania, Portrait of Ruin is great.

Well, I dont know own a DS but this game caught my eye.

    Mech Assault: Phantom War

Unlike previous mechwarrior games this one takes place in the Dark Ages setting, but it's played like the 2 xbox games MechAssault and MechAssault: Lone Wolf.

    Thats it.

And to get the full experience, he'd have to get Aria of Sorrow to go with it. Not that that would be a horrible thing.

If you enjoy the style of Phoenix Wright, get Hotel Dusk: Room 215. I'm loving it.

    Some other gems:
    Elite Beat Agents
Cooking Mama (seriously, get it for cheap, it's great brain relaxation)
    Megaman ZX
    Either Castlevania game

    No votes for Super Peach?

It may be girlie themed and have non-existant difficulty, but it has the most realistic female protaganist in a game evar.

If you like strategy stuff, you could try Advance Wars DS, Star Trek: Tactical Assault and/or Age of Empires.

I've played a bit of the former, and it seems ok, but I've only seen vids and screenshots of the latter two.

Or if you want to go nuts, you could order in a Japanese copy of something like Shakugan no Shana DS...

But then, I don't have a DS myself, so go figure.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Amazing turn-based strategy, with HOURS of playtime. Absolute must have, do not pass it up.

And both Castlevania games. Portrait of Ruin has great gameplay, but Dawn of Sorrow has a superior story, plus an unlockable Julius Mode with a badass alternate final boss. It really will help if you played the GBA prequel, Aria of Sorrow first, though.
