Damn, wish I'd have waited on mine until you posted your pics. Then I'd have something great to go by. :D

Very nice job, too bad they're already spoken for.

thanks guys for the compliments and support!

Seems with the ROTF stuff's been commissioned in batches (lucky for me) I will probably revisit this custom soon though. (ps that package was resent to you, so you should have a nice edge for accuracy)

The stickers were a nightmare, and a lot of time to create. I took whatever images I can find online of the truck (multiple angles), enhanced them, re-designed them in illustrator (text graphics) all the ice cream products, I drew by hand, scanned into the computer, digitized and colored them in Photoshop, sized them perfect to fit, printed them from Illustrator on Testor's water slide decal paper (both clear and white) then applied them. Finally, I went around the edges to match the color with the area it was applied to. *exhales*

    Thanks!

All the hard work you put in really paid off man! They turned out great! Your a master at the old school "paint tricks." I've seen a lot of the techniques used on model kits, but you pull them off flawlessly on toys with multiple moving parts...a testament to your skill!

great work man - you've said a very high bar for everyone who'll attempt to follow in your tracks...

Love this custom - bet the recipient will too; can't wait to see what you'll do with version 2!!!

Amazing job here FR, especially since we never really got any good look at the Twins' bot modes while they were an ice cream truck. The color scheme here is something you came up with yourself, and it works perfectly. I really like how the darker drybrushing on the robot mode parts accents the white and pink alt mode shells very well. :thumb

My only suggestion is maybe that there should be some pink to add contrast to Mudflap's head. As it is, it looks a little bland predominantly white.

    thanks guys ;)

I thought about that, but wanted to differentiate the bots with the heads. one predominantly in pink, one in white, like the car versions.

    Thanks guys for the support!

I'm kind of shocked that the only hand you repainted for movie-accuracy was Skids' giant hand. Other than that, very nice, although the opaque headlights do not fit in with movie-aestethics very well, it's still a huge improvement and the decals are great.

Gotta agree with this one, as the headlights are designed on what appear to be a simple clamp, I'd have thought you would have pulled them out & replaced them with a half-sphere of glass with a chrome backing to more realistically replicate the lights...
