Is Human Alliance limited to just movie characters?

    My questions

Q1:At any point in time will we see the autobot wheeljack. Id really love to see him again after 25 years.

Q2:Will there be anymore War For Cybertron figures after the ones we have seen and will they come in different size classes?

Q3:Any more leader figures after starscream? Would really like to see a leader fallen or blackout but its okay if you don't.

The recently announced Power Core Combiners subline features quite a bit of variety, including updates of older characters (Huffer, Bombshock, Leadfoot), new characters (Skyburst, Smolder), and old names Hasbro has used before re-purposed for new characters (Icepick, Searchlight). But exactly where does the Power Core Combiner line lie in terms of continuity? Is it meant to take place within the same timeline as the movies, a G1-based timeline like Classics, or a completely original continuity made just for the line?

I might make some additional posts if I can remember the questions I had from the times we didn't get answers, but for now...

    - The Energon line demonstrated that Hasbro is able to design gestalts with limbs (Scout) and torso (Deluxe) figures each with their own individual robot and vehicle modes. Personally, I thought both the combined forms and the individual figures were very well-engineered and a lot of fun. While I am looking forward to the Powercore Combiners subline, I'm curious to know what was the decision process behind going with Scout-class torso figures and smaller limb figures (without their own robot modes), rather than Scout/Deluxe gestalts similar to in the Energon line?

    - Why do some figures with light-piping have their eyes painted over? For example, RotF Dead End. Not only does painting over the eyes block out the light-piping, but we know that each figure is only budgeted a certain number of paint applications. Why use one of those applications covering up the light-piping?

    - What is the process by which it is decided which retailers get which exclusives? Does Hasbro go to retailers with a selection of potential exclusives and then each retailer decides which exclusives they want from that selection? Or does a retailer contact Hasbro, make a general request for an exclusive and Hasbro produces something for them?

    - In an earlier Q+A session, it was asked whether Hasbro owns the molds to the Movie-line toys and could use them in future lines. At that time, it was indicated that Hasbro does own the Movie molds and could use them, if desired. However, as a follow-up question, while Hasbro may own the molds, can Hasbro use all of those molds in the future without having to pay royalties to Paramount? In the case of the now-defunct Alternators line, Hasbro may own those molds, but any future use would require paying royalties to the car companies. If Hasbro would need to pay royalties to Paramount to use the Movie molds in the future, how likely are we to see Movie molds repainted in future (non-Movie) lines.

    - Repaints have proven to be one of the necessary evils of the TF lines, allowing Hasbro to recoup the costs of making new molds. Thusfar, the Human Alliance line has managed to go six releases (including the upcoming HA Jazz) without any repaints cropping up. Are there any plans to include repaints in the HA line? If so, would these be along the line of "same character, new deco" repaints (eg - "Tuner Mudflap", "Stealth BB", "Disco Jazz") or new characters (eg - Sideswipe to Tracks, BB to Cliffjumper)? Would any HA repaints get new human ally figures?

    - I only skimmed through this thread but, apparently, there's some requirement that everyone ask this: When/where are the new Animated toys going to be released?

Might as well use this double post for something:

    - Will Hasbro ever released an Animated Lugnut (Leader class) vs Omega Supreme (Supreme class) two-pack?

Are there any more plans to introduce Animated characters into the Movie universe? (ie: a Movie-line Lugnut)

What was the logic behind the decision to make Elita-1 simply a repaint rather than a retool?

In a recent Q&A session, you (Hasbro) stated that when you revisit a universe/classics style line (in this case Generations), that you have no plans to revisit any of the characters from Beast Wars or Beast Machines. Can you elaborate on any reason why these characters would be omitted?

Over the years, Arcee has become a sort of defacto female character for the autobots, where if a female character is to be used as an Autobot, it is almost always Arcee. However, there is as of yet, no character like this for the Decepticons. To use a GI Joe analogy, if Arcee is the Autobots' "Scarlett", then why is there no "Baroness" for the Decepticons? With Transformers moving towards being more fiction and character driven, do you have any plans for developing a reoccurring female Decepticon character for future iterations of the franchise?

Recently, there has been a lot of talk from you about "heritage" or "legacy" characters. What is you criteria for deciding if a character is one? Is it that they have had a lot of toys in the past, or have appeared in multiple continuities, or is any character from the past considered to be one.

Wouldn't it be cool to release DVD boxsets of the Japanese series Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory in North America?

1: With the overall crude, low brow humor and tone of ROTF, just how much input was given to the movie team by Hasbro for the direction and feel of Transformers 3 and the film franchise going forward? Were you surprised at the tone of ROTF?

2: Are you considering "Classics/generations" versions of any of the remaining G1 first-second season characters that you haven't produced yet? Making Drift before Wheeljack, Jazz or Trailbreaker seems like an odd choice.

-Will we see the rest of the unreleased Animated toys and, possibly, any as-yet unannounced Animated toys in the "Generations" line?

-There was a rumor in the past that Energon Shockwave would be re-released for the Universe 2.0 line. Will we see him, or an all-new Shockwave mold, in the Generations line?

-Are more G1 characters planned for release in current and future lines? Will we finally see a ROTF or Generations Wheeljack, Jazz, Trailbreaker, or Windcharger, for example?

    1. With characters that have both a Legends size class, and a larger size class figure, we often see redecos of the large figure one way, but the Legends will get a completely different deco (For instance Ultra Cybertron Defense Red Alert was redecoed into Botcon Megatron and Universe Countdown, but the Legends toy was redecoed into Classic Legends Perceptor and Universe Legends Onslaught). Only a few times times do we see the both molds get the same redeco (Cybertron Voyager Evac into Universe Voyager Blades, Legends Evac into Universe Legends Blades). There are even redecos from the Cybertron line that never saw a Legend (Nemesis Breaker, Skywarp, Galaxy Force Vector Prime). With Legends seemingly being a simple toy that is so popular with the fans, why don't we see more Legend versions of the larger redecos?

    2. Does Hasbro still have trademark (or copyright or whatever) on the Generation 2 style Autobot and Decepticon symbols?

    3. While some of the fandom enjoy RPMs that fit in "Hot Wheels" style racing sets, there is a sizeable portion that isn;t interested in toys that don't transform. Hasbro used to sell toys called Spy Changers that were similar as vehicles, but also had simple Transformations to robots. If Hasbro brought back Spy Changers in movie decos, would they sell along side the RPMs line, possibly bringing in the fans currently not interested in RPMs?

    4. For seemingly no reason, Cybertron Voyager Starscream never saw release in the US (in normal colors) during the Cybertron run. Was the solely to encourage purchase of the U.S. exclusive Supreme Starscream?

Will there be a US release of the Unite for the Universe Powered Up Optimus Prime Combo or, at least, the Jetfire parts that can be used withe Voyager Prime?

    1) What are the odds of Hasbro creating new versions of G1 combiners that are heavily based on their G1 incarnations (IE: Defensor, Menasor, Predaking, etc)?

    2) What is the status of the as-of-yet-unreleased Animated figures, specifically, Blackout?

    3) What is the reasoning behind the lack of TF comic 2-packs similar to GI Joe or Star Wars? Two scout classes a pack, I believe, should suffice...

Is there a reasonable chance that we'll see Animated Season 3 on DVD in the future?

(Should be a legal question, since the original post only said no questions about the upcoming shows or movies, not the old ones.)
