I recently went on a cruise. I had a good time, but not as good of a time as some people were obviously having. For some reason, I take little to no pleasure in joining a large group of people doing something stupid or, at the very least, silly. Example 1: The macarena. Why people are still doing this 10 years later, I have no idea. The macarena was invented solely for those few white people who couldn't master the Electric Slide. Then there's the conga line. In this case, the conga line through our dining room. Just not my kinda thing, and yet 30-40 adults have ntohing better to do but play follow-the-leader and wave their napkins in the air. I've hated 'YMCA' for just about...ever. I don't remember ever liking this song. And yet, it gets played loudly, and people hop up and start waving their arms around like drunk air traffic controllers. So, am I missing something, or am I just not fun enough?
