Pretty much just the colors/paintapps. Only mold differences, so far, are the light bars on Prowl and Ratchet. Hasbro's are more updated/modern takes on the colors, while Takara's are more geared towards fans/more G1 accurate.

Hey man, there's no such thing as a stupid question. The fact that you care enough about your knowledge to ask in the first place is a good sign.

Ravens got it. Henkei's are very slavish updates to the characters, where as Hasbro's releases are more overall updates, not so much stuck to what the character used to be. Henkei also has chrome parts.

Henkei have more accurate paint and chrome. Universe are a little more plain.

Accurate chrome is up for debate. They get out of hand sometimes. And I really just don't care for chrome most of the time anyways.

Oh yeah, this is what i meant, accurate only on the paint. Definitely agreed on the chrome, this is the reason I mostly stick to Universe.

Henkei Bumblebee is Japan's version of the Classics Bumblebee mold.

The mold was released in the US, but with different paint apps of course. In fact, other than the Dirge and Thrust retools, there hasn't been a mold in the Henkei line that hasn't been, or won't be, in either the Classics line, or the Universe line.
