    Hi everyone.

When you count your tfrmers for the TF count purpose on the profile...how do you count combiners? As one, or you count the numbre ob the members?

    Thanks.

    its personal.

in my case combiners count as 1.

i do count non-TFing TFs tho.

    KOs too.

Everyone counts differently, but generally, most people count the members, not the combined form.

    Constructicons = 6 tfs, not 1(Devastator), and not 6+1

just dont ask who counts minicons, target & headmasters.... that opens a whole other can of worms :)

I count packages and toys separately. The reason is that everyone agrees about a package count. However, toy counts are highly subjective.

My Superion giftset is one package and 5 toys. The Combaticons are 5 packages and 5 toys (no giftset for the USA).

It gets difficult when I get to toys like G1 Ironhide. Is his base a 2nd toy? I feel it is, but others disagree. Is G1 Prime 3 toys? Is G1 Soundwave 2 toys (Buzzsaw)? Is G1 Metroplex 4 toys?! In all these cases, we can agree that each is one package.

That's why I do 2 counts...at least the package count can't be questioned. And I can "justify" inflating the toy count to feed my ego. ;)

I count them by unique units. Combiners are counted by member, Minicons individually unless they're a partner. Same goes for the Masters (though I don't have the likes of Lione or Aquastar to count individually on those).

    Different name generally seperate count
In the case of the Masters and Armada I don't count the Little guys, and the teams also count as one... I think...my head hurts.

I lost count of my collection in the latter half of the 90's. I was over 1,000 (counting the Micromasters as individuals) then. Combiners count as the team total with me.

I count each member as 1. As for the masters, I don't count them. They are just accesories to the main bot. Minicons count seperately, even if they came in the same package or with a larger figure.

For counting purposes each combiner is broken down into it's individual parts. There are 6 constructicons so 6 bots go on the list,

I follow your method of counting as in I count the individual bots that make the combiners. With regards to TFs thar come with "bases" such as Optimus and Ironhide, I count them as one.

For combiners I count individual members, i.e. Devastator is 6, micromasters I also count individualy i.e. hot rod patrol is 4, I also count mini-cons the same way, they are transforming robots you know, it doesn't matter that they came with a bigger one. Targetmasters and other 'masters I don't count as they are not robots, they are humans or Nebulans. If I was born in Japan and had japanese storyline impressed in my mind, then I'd count them also as they're robots in Japan.

According to the Japanese continuity, the headmasters were the TFs, the large bot was basically a mech suit for them. They were not sentient, just controlled by the smaller head robot. So you'd still only count them as one.

If it came in a separate package, or could have come in a separate package (such as buying a Predaking giftset, but normally they're sold separately) then they count as individuals. But no bases or minicons or other extras such as Energon Optimus's vehicle limb things count as extra toys for me.

Thank you on this info, I stand corrected. :thumb

I don't see a reason why you won't count minicons, they are transforming robots, they're not like E. OPs vehicle limbs you mention, they should be taken into account.

I think for me I'd probably count them as one, but I've kinda stopped counting. I just own too many.
