Stunticons WIP (Updated w/ bot modes 4/20) Hey all. I've been off all week, so I decided to tackle a custom I've wanted to do for a while. Everyone who does Devastator uses the same recipe (not that there's anything wrong with that, they all look great), but whenever anyone makes the Stunticons, it seems we see a lot of different choices/recipes, so here's mine. These dudes are like 80% done. Vehicle modes are finished (except MM's trailer needs some touch up as the purple paint bled into the silver, and the silver paint on the back of the cab obviosuly needs to be re-done), I am just holding off on the robot modes, as they are still being worked on (You can obviously still see Breakdown's previous Autobot symbol unde the windsield). I didn't do any mods to Dragstrip. I know most of you like to mod him so he has the extra wheels, but I think he's fine the way he is. I tried my best to make Breakdown and Wildrider look different by removing WR's spoiler. I think it's good enough, I'm not a fan of using Rodimus as WR. Dead End has been modded from the Jazz mold so that when he's in bot mode, the doors attach to his forearms. Shout out to Sh002 for giving me the idea to use Jazz for DE. Motormaster is a KO Prime with the sleeper part being made from a purple cast of the Prime chest piece (many thanks to Darkov) and some styrene. I hope to get these guys done by next weekend, but knowing me, we'll see (more like next summer). Anyway, here they are so far, let me know what you think.
Thanks man. Hopefully I won't be as slow on these as I am on everything else. I only started these guys on Monday, so that's pretty good for me. I am hoping to at least get some of the bot mode shots up by Sunday
Nice work on these! Can't wait to see that Dead End in bot mode! Also I've always wondered this whenever I saw your sig, but why does Kurt Angle look like a homeless guy in that pic? Is just a bad shot? LOL
Lol, it was right after the match, they let people go in the ring and take pics, so I guess he just didn't shave that day and looks tired.
Looking good so far and hats off to you for going all in and using a G3 trailer to boot! I'm in the early stages of a Menasor too using a loose Nemesis Prime junker as a base for MM with a 1/32 trailer with wheels closer to classics prime size, but the G3 looks really good with it! Looking forward to bot and then combined mode pics!
Thanks man. Yeah, the G3 TRailer was necessary for the vision I had in mind. I will have some updates this week. I was hoping to get some done today, but I got too busy, Hope to have some Bot Modes up tomorrow or Tuesday
Coming soon man, sorry, I'm really flaky during the week. I'm surprised I got as much done as I did. Bot modes will be in B and W, since I just painted the alt modes first, but I'll try and get some up soon.
painted the alt mode first? you really like to work like that have you done it by parts only if so... what is your preferred method? the reason I ask... that I might try this way too, since cars are far more easy, then for example my predaking, there was just no way I could have done like this goodjob... can't wait to see it complete
@WJ-Thanks man, from you tha tmeans a lot @G60-Depends on the project. Usually I disassemble, but this time, I wanted to do it this way. In acutality, I only painted Breakdown and MotorMaster as vehicles first, I did disassemble Dead End and Wildrider. So I guess I have no answer to your question. I am waiting on Breakdown's paint to dry as I write this (I'm home sick today), so when my wife brings the camera back from work, I will at least get some pics of him up.
UPDATE: These are still a waaaaays off from being fully detailed and finished, but I was home sick today, so here's a WIP of the bot modes thus far, see first post. Motormaster's head is still being constructed, Dead End's left arm as well and Breakdown and Wildrider are still being repainted obviously. Aplogies for the shitty pics, they don't look that sloppy in person. My wife takes the good camera to work with her, so I had to use my phone.
