I like it. I'm reminded of the Fakebusker upgrade for the Deluxe DOTM Starscream which was the first Shapeways kit I ever bought.

 

Looks like shit in alt mode.

 

So do the official accessories that come with the Studio Series figures, so... meh.

Don't really care about the saw blade that I don't even remember Starscream using, but depending on the price I'm possibly in as I dig the gatling guns and the extra stuff for his back.

I believe he uses it to cut the car in half that Sam, Michaela and that other dude are in, in ROTF. (the car that Blackout just dropped into that abandoned factory)

Wow awesome upgrades but YIKES they need to find a much better alt mode solution for that junk. Why not make it a separate flying drone thing?

 

At least the official weapons stores underneath the jet mode.

The thruster pack is way overdone, and I feel like the Gatling guns are too big.

 

I'm still just trying to get a Studio Series Starscream that isn't missing pieces! I had to take mine back to Target yesterday because it didn't have the flap behind his neck that covers the head in jet mode.

 

I must not remember because I'm trying to block RotF from my memory.

 

That piece that pegs into the back could fit in better. The guns are also too big. Ill probably buy this, if it gets streamlined.


And he needs articulated hands. They look like duck feet.

 

Eh, I'm pretty forgiving for alt-mode storage of accessories. I find it a bonus if a weapon stores at all in alt mode. Off the top of my head, the MP cars have a big honking rifle stuck on the roof, and the DOTM deluxe Seeker mold had giant claw-thingies hanging under wing.

I don't even think the alt mode storage looks all that bad. It actually reminds me of Ghost Boosters and Fold Boosters from the Macross series, which is basically a giant engine stuck on top of a jet.

 

He also uses it to attack the Ospreys in Chicago in DotM.

 

I just want articulated hands, and back thrusters.

 

I like most of what I see, even the outrageous altmode pack, but what I really want is a cover for the screw hole in his head. Ideally, we’d get a new, more articulated head with a screw in the back, but anything to hide that side hole in the stock head would make this set an instabuy from me.

 

Jeez!That's the first I've heard about (and seen) the screw on the SIDE of his head. What an odd choice to put it there.

I don't plan on buying SS Starscream so I have no need for this set but a new head that doesn't have a screw hole on the side would be nice.

 

It's already been confirmed that the RotF repaint is coming with the sawblade. So if that is all you are waiting for, your better off waiting on that release.

 

And you'd be stuck with the terrible tattoos.

 

On second look I agree with those who are saying the guns are too big. As long as we’re nitpicking too I’d also like the back thrusters to sit more flush against his back. They’re not really meant to stick out that far and it would help with making them more compact in jet mode as well.

Or get both and have the non-tattoo version holding both. That’s what I’ll likely end up doing cause I’m a sucker.
