Man those hips are tiny, wtf ironhide, what have you done!!!!?.
I really don’t like those super smooth, unfoldable shoulders.
You don’t know why this is needed?.. it’s to complete the first movie autobot roster.
I think it looks great. It’s definitely the best looking (aside from the masterpiece version).
The scaling isn’t perfect, but it’s close enough and it’s nice to see that they’re paying attention to it with this line.
Well, this is the first time we've actually received movie accurate cannons on a Voyager. Thus far, a few Voyagers have tried but they were quite inaccurate. The rest of the figure is pretty good. I can't think of any other Ironhide Voyager figure that was better than this; they were all fairly bad in my opinion.
Overall he looks great but I think the bumper is what's throwing some people off. It's messing with his profile, making his torso look bigger than it actually is and making his arms look out of proportion. If the ends of the bumper were separate pieces that could fold up it would improve his profile, like this:
I always liked Ironhide, but man, those arms are small.
Were they always that small? Like, in the movies themselves?
Doesn’t look too bad,I’ll pick him up tomorrow then.
Another thing, was one of his arm cannons always shorter than the other?
MUST. RESIST. EBAY. SCALPER. PRICING.
Need this! At first I thought it was the MPM , which immediately caused a raised eyebrow since it looks so basic compared to previous pictures, but now that I realize it's the SS version I am definitely all over this!
Those bumpers could've been a folding panels around his waist to replicate the exact profile.
But no Hasbro compromised it again.
I'm curious to his altmode beside MPM-4's.
I'M FUCKING BUYING STUDIO SERIES IRONHIDE
I’m like 80% certain his chest is mistransformed. Even if it’s not, I’m still getting him. It’s still the most accurate version there is, besides the masterpiece... which I’m unable to buy due to a fun little thing called “crippling poverty”.
And regarding the scale “issue”... who the hell cares?! I’m not getting this for display, I’m getting this because I’m a 7 year-old trapped in a 15 year-old’s body. I want a badass truck that turns into a big ol’ robot that I cam slam into other big ol robots.
Well the lines focus has been on relatively better robot mode scaling but vehicle scaling was thrown out the window as soon as Crowbar was released, so that's not really surprising
But yeah studio series continues to be great for us movie fans insta buy etcetc, The bumper is definitely annoying and will lively be harder to fix than Ratchet's backpack, but I don't find it to be too compromising.
SS line, well played. In for one of these.
At first glance I though they shrank the MPM version.
I see some shared engineering from the HFTD deluxe. Mainly the tire feet and how basically the back end of the truck is on the back of his legs
90% of the whiners and people complaining here are going to buy him regardless lol.
So many wanna be Toy designers...seeeesh!
Eh, I’ll stick to my HFTD Deluxe.
