Next we have truck mode. Sure, MPM does have a crap ton of details done right, and while SS has a piece of plastic that looks like it affects rolling(doesnt), SS has its toes fold forwards rather than hang from the back like MPM. SS guns are detachable and store on the back. It's very hard to fault SS Ironhide for anything other than his chest bumper. VERY HARD. He feels solid, you don't feel like you're being cheated out of him being the smallest Voyager. He's small and bulky, looks great, transforms great, feels great.

Pics of the back. Look at how clean it is. It's not a shell on the back btw, it actually folds in proper and flat.

...Aaaaaand this lone picture of the figure correctly transformed has singlehandedly saved SS Ironhide!! Glad to see the hood isn't actually as awful as it looked in the in-hand pics! And I'm especially glad this guy's gonna be worth it because aside from the MOM, that is the absolute best headsculpt Dirty Iron has ever had! Hype levels rising!!!!

WOW, easily the best mainline movie Ironhide ever. The bumper doesn't even look to jarring here, it feels like it naturally flows down his torso. He could probably use a bit of silver paint on the arms and legs to bring out some of the detail, but color me impressed. Proportions look terrific.

Gotdamn I love the Studio Series so much. The hidden wheels in the hips absolutely makes my day. This voyager Ironhide is 25% the cost of the masterpiece but comes with 80% of the screen accuracy and he fits extremely well with others in the same line scale wise.

Jeeez... I bet this line is going to be quite valuable way in the future but of course no one buys toys to profit from them when they are old dying, that's crazy. Thanks for sharing photos Kentan99 and for avoiding the need to feed the eBay scalpers!

    Bought/ordered on sight.

But zomg... Studio Series definitely killed PoTP for me. Can't be purchasing everything, got to set some priorities...

Well I'll be damned. It actually looks sort of better.

Still not buying it, can't afford to drop $30 on something largely similar to a figure I already own for static display given my current shoestring budget.

Dude, you just saved Ironhide for so many of us! That looks so much better than the pictures we got the other day. I mean, I was gonna buy it anyway, just cause it’s Ironhide, but now I’ll actually be happy with the figure.

Should I drill two holes to mount his guns onto his doors? It feels a lot cooler than having them on the back of the truck

You were asking which figure to get and I gave my opinion... and that statue wasn’t on your decision list and be reasonable most people can’t afford that statue so why would getting a toy or a statue be an option

Because they also confirmed the bee movie figures are supposed to be part of the line so those could be in wave 3 or 4.... and if this line isn’t going past wave 4 then Hasbro picked some of the worst characters to do in the wave and multiples of the same character... there’s no way the line is done this soon.... that would be sad and pointless if it was

Every wave for next year??!!! Where can I see that list????

He does look really good but the proportions still bug me

Oh ok ya that’s what happens when the figure is smaller... less room to work sadly
